I wanted to buy this but was hesitant due to some of the less-than-stellar reviews here, so I asked for a sample instead. I tried only one sample sachet and was sold. The consistency is quite unusual. It’s thick but not silicon-y. After I applied it, it quickly dried to a super smooth texture without even a hint of stickiness (which is a big plus in humid Singapore!) It works like a fantastic primer – my makeup glided on effortlessly, I was just blown away.
The next day, my face seemed clearer and brighter. Still, I waited a few days to make sure I didn’t break out. Nope! I placed an order for the full tube and I’m LOVING it. My complexion has never been better and when used under makeup, it gives me a flawless, dewy look.

I use a pea size amount every morning and feel this is the star of the PC resist brightening line. I’ve had success with niacinamide products before which help lighten PIH and melasma, but this baby has really helped speed up the process with a host of lightening and brightening ingredients that feel soothing, not harsh like so many others with whitening aims.
I phased this into my routine about 3 months ago and can see my melasma has greatly improved. I also use the 8% AHA gel and resist brightening serum with retinol at night time so reserve this just for use in the morning. I splash with water or cleanse with ceptaphil, dot a pea sized amount around my face and massage in, with no wait time before moisturiser and sunscreen. Sunscreen is of the utmost importance when using lightening treatments like this. So it’s best to keep it simple in the morning and make sure your skin is well nourished and protected.
Although I attribute the success to the PC brightening system, this is the one product I cannot fault. It feels light and nourishing, and does exactly what it promises. I don’t think I will repurchase the other products in the line but I will continue to repurchase this until my melasma is gone totally. It’s great.

This isn’t a moisturizer, it’s a serum. I really like it. You only need the tiniest bit. If it starts balling up, it’s because you’re using way to much and didn’t give it a long enough time to set. It does provide brightening effects. To see best results wait three months and also pair it with an AHA and other serums and a sunscreen with a high ppd value.
