i hate this product with a vengence. I got it as a sample in a recent Sephora order and while it is a generous sized sample, its such a poorly performing product that i think Boscia weren’t doing anyone any favours with this. 1) peeling gels are a gimmick, its not your skin thats falling balls, its the chemicals in the product reacting with water and forming balls. 2) this stuff forms balls that STICK to my face and tear at it. I try and remove the little balls of solidified gel, but they won’t budge, they tear my skin, they stay there for days, my makeup looks like rubbish and i end up with open sores and tears on my face. Loathe this stuff, hate it so much that not only do i hate it, but I’m turned off the brand and I’m turned off peeling gels.

I think I’m addicted to peeling gels. I love how they leave my skin feeling. I’ve tried everything from the ELF brand (pretty good IMO) to PTR peeling gel, to the newer Philosophy peeling gel.
When I purchased this, I was pretty excited. I thought being the brand that it is, it would do a great job with removing dead skin cells, much like the others.
Unfortunately, this gel didn’t do very much peeling – if any at all. I had to leave it on for quite a long time, and then only a minimal amount of peeling would occur. I don’t always have a lot of time in the morning to do this.
All in all, not the greatest results. It didn’t clog my pores or break me out, but my skin isn’t particularly sensitive. I thought it was a bit of a waste of money. I’ve since gone back to the PTR brand, because it just works so much better.

I have used three other peeling gels ( Real Chemistry, Peter Thomas Roth & e.l.f brands) and the Boscia peeling gel is the worst one. The other three I listed all work and leave my skin feeling gently exfoliated. The way these peeling gels work is once applied to skin they ball up and slough off dead surface skin. The Boscia peeling gel balls up but then the balls stick to my skin and I have to use a wash cloth to remove them. Waste of money.
While this gel product is great I would personally like to say that if you get it from a pharmacy you can’t buy one through this site (they have many of them). It will not be safe for you unless the bought one is from the professionals/typical chemist who can test and treat you and provide extensive services.
Willnot use if i am mad at 1 coat or 1 coat if i already get it bad.

This product is a waste of time, money and energy. I purchased it for about $45 CAN (expensive) at Sephora. I tried the product at the store and, like many, was in awe at seeing “my skin peeling away”. At home, I’d apply a small amount onto my skin and start running. Immediately, I realize that this “gel” turns into a liquid quickly and starts dripping. My skin appears to “peel”. After removing the “balls” from my face, my skin feels smooth and bright. There may be exfoliating ingredients in the Peel Gel, but I find it gimmicky. The product starts balling up before I rub it into my skin properly. I’ve used products before that do visibly exfoliate the skin using fruit acids – the best would be Jelly Apple Peeling Gel by the Face Shop. Fraction of the price, more product, works AMAZINGLY.
This is too expensive for the amount of product you’re getting, turns into a runny, liquid-y mess AND looks like it deceives people into thinking that it’s really removing tons of dead skin while it’s just product balling up. Do not recommend.

I love this product, It smells great, cleans the skin and makes it smooth and glowing the next morning. I got this product after I got the Cure gel which is supposed to peel your skin the same way as this. I can say I like Boscia’s version much better!
I do wish this product was stronger though!

This works, but it has a really weird texture that I find creepy. It comes out like black tooth paste and then as you rub it into your skin it turns into a clear slime with rubbery black bits. This is a very non-abrasive peel and does leave you skin feeling fresh and smooth. But I can’t get over the weird texture. I won’t be re-purchasing this.

This is amazing. Packaging is basic, but effective. Although I’m not able to get the last bit of product in my empty bottle, and believe me I want every drop of this stuff. Erases dead skin like magic leaving my skin firmed, smooth, and leaves a great base for other skincare and makeup application. Big fan!

I like this product for the most part. I think most people who don’t like it don’t know how to use it properly. Your skin MUST be dry. If you have a shower and use this product it won’t work great unless you wait. I wash my face, pat dry, and wait a couple minutes to make sure my hands and face are as dry as possible. Then I use the product. I have used it when my skin or hands are wet and the ‘balls’ do stick to hair.
I love how my face feels after. My skin builds up a lot of dead skin and oil and this just makes it disappear. I find my skin oily, especially after a full day, yet its flaking on my forehead, around my nose, and around zits. This gets rid of the flaky skin except when I am having serious flaking issues. It also makes my moisturizers/creams blend in wonderfully after. I have had no issues with burning or anything, and for the most part I believe it has helped with breakouts.
I only wish this product was a bit stronger to get some of the more serious flaking. Thats the only reason I think its a bit over priced. Also, sometimes the nozzle part gets clogged but its never been enough of a problem.

I thought that I would like this product more than I am. Each time that I use this the same thing happens. I get “balled” up stuff on the side of my face that will not rinse off or rub off easily. I am still find little balls of crud on my face two hours later and this is after serum and moisturizer. It does leave my skin feeling smooth but I also get very red afterwards. I would not use this before going out! I do however use it as a part of my Sunday night routine. I will finish up the bottle but would likely not purchase again.

Boscia’s Exfoliating Peel Gel is a gommage-type exfoliant, so it’s very gentle. Boscia’s claims for this product do ring true for the most part. It is both a physical and chemical exfoliant, and as such it does brighten the skin. Skin is smoother and softer after use. It does not firm the skin, as it claims to.
I’ve used other gommage-type exfoliants and this one is nice, effective, and the price point is good. BUT, I MUCH prefer the PTR FirmX Peeling Gel. It’s more expensive, but definitely worth the price. As the saying goes, “you get what you pay for”. But, if the PTR isn’t in your budget, this Exfoliating Peel Gel is a decent option from Boscia.
