I took a chance on this product because I enjoy Caudalie products and was looking for a chemical exfoliant (the glycolic acid, which is an AHA) to ease up some discoloration I have from acne scars. The glycolic acid is delivered through a thick and dense clay mask, which I’m not sure if I’m a fan of – usually I go for more gel and aqueous consistencies since I have dry skin. Caudalie states that this masque tightens pores, brightens skin, reduces oil (well, it IS clay-based) and increases cell turnover. Additionally, at $39, I would consider this a luxury masque and want it to deliver on its promises.
The instructions say you’ll only need 10 minutes but really, I leave it on for 20 minutes because 10 minutes isn’t a long enough time for products to penetrate the skin. I’m incredulous about most of the claims since the only benefit I see is skin brightening from the acids. Pores haven’t shrunk, I have no oil to speak of anyways, and I find retinol to be best at cell turnover results. This is an A-OK masque, and not a stand-out in Caudalie’s product line.

Glycolic peels are supposed to make skin more radiant, cleaner and should be effective on blemishes. But i think this cream formula is too light to do these things and I can say it didnt do much thing on my skin. Only a bit freshness after use. Didnt irritate and dry out my sensitive skin. But i wouldnt purchase again. A simple and more cheaper clay mask would do better job.

A very thick moisturising cream mask with the chemical exfoliators glycolic acid and papaya enzymes. I have very sensitive mid 40’s combo skin and it leaves me feeling smooth, soft and plump, and helps unclog pores. No irritation, as long as I avoid the small crease at the sides of my nose. Results last for a few days.
The instructions say to leave on 10 minutes but its a very very gentle and needs way longer to get a noticeable result. I put a good thick layer on, concentrating a bit thicker over any clogged or flakey areas and leave for 30 minutes. Lovely while relaxing in the bath with a book. Fresh, light, spa-like scent, like cucumber and basil? Doesn’t drip or run. Very quick to remove.
If it went on sale I’d probably buy again. It is a luxurious treat but pricey and I go through it quicker than other masks.

Overly fragranced. Seems to be a low percentage of glycolic acid because I saw no difference after use. I’m a regular user of acids in my routine and cycle several products in and out that do much more for the skin than this. It’s not that it’s bad, but it’s not exceptional enough unless you’re a beginner.

This maskhave thick texture but so mild on my skin, didn’t dry out even when I left it for 20 mins. My skintone seems to be a little bit brighter, and my acnes reduce after 3 months using. Easy to wash out.

I use this twice a week on my face before bed for 10 minutes. It leaves my skin looking bright, supple and radiant, exactly what it claims to do. The next morning my skin still looks very radiant. It is a bit on the pricey side so I might try to find something else that works just as well but for a cheaper price. However, I will probably repurchase it as it works well.

I really like this peel. I have found that using it twice a week has really helped my dark spots (scarring from acne) fade quite a bit. For me having oily skin, it’s important that I use cream exfoliants rather than abrasive scrubs which dry me out and produce more oil, ending in (sometimes) more breakouts. Aside from the faded spots, I’ve noticed smooth skin, a more even skin tone and smaller pores. Thankfully, this was recommended to me by a girl at Sephora and I agree that cream exfoliants have a much better effect on my skin. It is on the expensive side but it does last awhile. I am not even half way through, using it twice a week and I bought the 2.5 oz tube back in September.

A cream based peel containing glycolic acid and papain enzymes. This is a very mild AHA exfoliant. I left this cream peel on my face for 10 minutes and then washed it off. My face felt soft and smooth, not irritated at all. I am used to doing 30% glycolic acid peels and using 15% AHA lotions on my face. This product does not list the percentage of glycolic acid, but it cannot be very much at all, especially since it is listed as the 6th ingredient. The cream base is very rich and caused my combination skin to break out. I think this could be a good peel for mature, dry skin or for those with sensitive skin wanting gentle exfoliation. Has a fresh scent.
