It is almost criminal that this product isn’t sold widely in the US. I found it on Amazon, and it’s the most comprehensive sunscreen I’ve ever used. It’s light as air, has an invisible matte finish, lasts for hours, works well with makeup, and provides very broad spectrum protection. I can’t tell it’s on my skin, yet it has Ensulizole, Tinosorb S, Neo Heliopan AP, Ethylhexyl Ferulate, Uvinul T 150, Uvasorb HEB, FernblockFC , Titanium Dioxide, Arginine, Ferulic Acid, Caffeic Acid, Melanin, and all kinds of antioxidants and skin conditioning ingredients. It’s no secret that the US is Third World when it comes to sunscreen products, due to ridiculous monopolies and an FDA that’s busy tracking down food poisoning agents in imports, but if Americans start buying excellent sunscreens, sooner or later supply will start meeting demand. I recommend this so highly to those with normal-oily skin and/or those who have problems with the inferior and cheap Avobenzone-Oxybenzone blends. This is the sunscreen so many of us have been searching for…let’s hope Amazon keeps selling it!

I have bought this several times. I like this on my normal, quite sensitive skin during the summer because it doesn’t make my face look shiny. It is less shiny than Bioderma which I always used to use. It’s fairly expensive though at over £20 for 50ml.

This product was recommended to me by my dermatologist last year as part of an all-new new skincare routine to treat a breakout of hormonal cystic acne that covered my whole face. Before this I’d never bothered with sunscreen beyond the SPF 20 that was in my face cream as my skin is brown (NC42) and not sensitive to the sun at all (I have to be in the water all day with no suncream in order to burn even a little). I was instructed to use this product predominantly to prevent post-acne pigmentation from getting worse in the sun, which it did effectively. I apply this after my moisturiser has had a chance to sink in (my skin is dry and can take multiple layers of product), it’s light, absorbs quickly and sits nicely under makeup. I’ve had no issues with it transferring or staining clothes, and I was surprised to find that some people find it tints their skin as I never noticed this because of my skin tone – if anything, I really appreciate the fact that it doesn’t give me the white/grey cast that most sunscreens do on brown skin! It’s hard for me to speak to its effectiveness in terms of sun protection as I don’t burn, so I don’t notice a difference. I’ve also never used a standalone facial sun cream apart from this one, so I can’t compare it to anything (hence the 4-star rating). However, I’m very happy with the product and have repurchased after 6 months of daily use (thin layer every morning), which I feel is great value. My acne has now healed, and I continue to use this.
TLDR; Dermatologist recommended it to me. Did not clog my pores when I had acne and works well on my NC42 dry skin over moisturiser and under makeup. Have repurchased, although have not tried any other standalone facial sun creams.

I find this sunscreen really good. I haven’t had any issues with it making me look orange/yellow as another reviewer has (and I have very light skin). It dries quickly to a true matte finish and I feel that it slightly approves the appearance of my skin and has a somewhat calming effect on redness. I don’t find it difficult to apply at all. I have combination, acne prone skin and it hasn’t made me break out. It keeps my skin matte all day and goes well under makeup (when wearing this I would use it in place of a primer). When I wash my face at the end of the day (having not worn makeup over it) I can feel the product is still on my face after a full day (only apply it once in the morning) but it washes off easily. I don’t think you would need to apply multiple layers. Having said that I don’t sweat during the day at work as I am in an office with air conditioning. I think if you apply too much of this product, the skin has trouble “breathing” through it and that will make your face sweat at first (this has happened to me once or twice when I’ve accidentally squeezed too much out and applied way more than usual to my face). I just apply a nice layer over the whole face and feel that it dries down and sits on top of the skin rather than sinking in (but not in a bad way). The only problem with this product is the price. I have to buy online and with shipping it can cost up to $70AU for one tube 🙁

This is one of the pricier sunscreens I’ve tried, and unfortunately it’s also one of my least favorite ones.
The Heliocare 360° Gel SPF50 promises broad uv protection from both UVA and UVB rays.
I’m not a chemist, so I don’t know whether their claims true or not. The brand gives the impression that the sun protection of this gel is better than that of an average sunscreen.
Tbh, I could try to verify their claims or not, but to me, this products falls flat simply because of how it sat on my skin.
First of all, it has a yellow-orange tint to it, that will stain your clothes if you’re not careful. That’s already a big no-go for me. Because I obviously don’t want my clothes to have stains, and also, I couldn’t put on a thick layer of this sunscreen in the summer, because it literally made my face look orange. This might not be an issue for people with medium complexion, but for anyone who has very light or dark skin, I would say you probably won’t be happy with how this will look on your skin.
Secondly, this products dries fast. I always had to work it in quickly, and putting on several layers was tricky. Too late, and it looked patchy again. That’s probably why it also didn’t work well underneath makeup.
Another thing I noticed was, that sweat breaks down the product on the face, and whenever I touched my face to wipe away the sweat, the orange tint would come off on my hands.
Needless to say, I really wanted to finish this product but eventually had to throw it away, because it was just too much of a hassle to use. I had to use it on makeup free days that weren’t too hot. Not exactly what I’d hoped from this product, which wasn’t cheap compared to sunscreens from the drugstore.

This suncream has a nice banana scent and a light, runny texture that soaks in easily leaving a dry, matte finish. I bought it because it was recommended for oily skin.
Unfortunately that’s where the good points ended for me. I have combination skin that is prone to spots around the cheeks and jawline and this made me break out horribly in whiteheads, blackheads AND deep cystic acne. It has taken months for my skin to recover. Avoid this at all costs if you are prone to break outs.
Also don’t use this suncream if you’re wearing white – it will leave yellow stains on your clothes.

I have combination, oily acne prone skin with some early signs of sun damage. Realising that I need to include SPF in my daily routine I did a lot of research and this one seemed perfect – unfortunately it’s not for me. By lunch time I’m an oil slick (foundation sliding off and incredibly shiny) and it’s broken me out really badly.

Wonderful tinted sunscreen with high UVA protection! The light tint is amazing for olive skin, there is NO PINK and NO GRAY at all. it melts into my skin and is just invisible. No avobenzone, no oxybenzone.
The dry-touch version is very matte, there is a fluid-cream version for drier skin or climates. The finish on this is just fantastic. No whiteness. No greasiness. No odd silicone feel.
Cons: have to order online, as it is a euro sunscreen.

Pros:
Does not sting my eyes
Does not break me out
Keep me matte ALL DAY (therefore my makeup lasts all day)
Does not have white cast. Does not gunk up on eyebrows nor hairline.
Cons:
Somewhat sticky/tacky, not truly dry touch (but does not affect makeup application)
Dry down time is kinda long
Hard to get in USA
