Ugh. The sunscreen is just impossible to use. Application is incredibly fiddly; balls up, streaks and pills. I’ve tried both patting and rubbing it in, no difference.
This is a shame because I’m sure it does give good protection, but it’s just horrible. And it is super greasy and oily despite being supposedly dry touch. Not recommended at all.
EDIT: Forgot to add that it stings my eyes! Useless stuff.

This leaves a white cast. If you use the full 1/4 tsp you’re supposed to for your face, you’ll get white streaks. Also, it doesn’t really sink into my skin, but just kind of sits on top. That way if you touch your face, it moves the product around. It makes me face feel gross and kind of oily (and I normally have really dry skin). Also, it stings my eyes.
If you’re pale the white cast may not be as big of a deal, but there are plenty of sunscreens that don’t leave white cast. I feel like for the price you’re paying, this isn’t worth it with all the problems it has.

My sunscreen goals are to protect from freckles since i spot very easily and that it be cosmetically elegant enough for it not to be (too) greasy or make a light dusting of powder clump up. This meets those goals but it does take a little while to rub in. But an extra 20 seconds is worth it since this totally absorbs and really protects me from freckles. I like that it contains a mix of chemical and physical sunscreens. This is all i wear on weekends and is better than any LRP sunscreen i have tried. Its also less greasy than shiseido ones and dries semi matt. Give this a go, for the price if you don’t like it you can always use on your body.

This is the third time I have been lured by advertising to try a Bioderma sunscreen and the third time I have regretted my purchase. There must be something in the combo of ingredients they use that make my skin look greasy and blotchy. Putting powder on top helps some but I still am left feeling like the product just does not work for me. This may be a wonderful sunscreen but I think I am finally cured of my Bioderma disease. I won’t be trying any more of their sun products again.

This cream may be a little too heavy for those with oily skin because it is thick and rich. I think that’s what makes it water resistant because it stays on despite dabbings with a hanky to remove perspiration from my face. It is comparable to Institut Esthedern”s photo reverse at a fraction of the cost (14 pounds versus 55 pounds). It takes a while to absorb and it leaves no white cast. I find that it is effective even when I apply a flat quarter’s worth so I don’t have to follow the 1 teaspoon rule (a dollop the size of a quarter is too much even for my combination dry-skin. I look like I applied Crisco on my face!)

ME: I work outdoors in Greece during the summer, so I need all the protection I can get. My favourite I had ever found prior to this was LRP’s spf 40 spray Dermo Peds.
As for the ss, it leaves a very, very slight sticky/sheeny finish and may enhance pores, but once I’ve applied loose powder (at the moment Laura Mercier’s), I’m super matte all day.
I really, really like it, especially the high ppd and so will re-purchase.
