   It’s the best facial cream I had. Absorbs immediately, my face doesn’t sweat with it in hot weather like it does with other creams, it’s light, smells lovely.
   I do prefer a dispensing package for any skincare so avoid getting bacteria into the crest but the consistency of this cream probably wouldn’t allow it.
   If you have oily, redness prone skin this is the cream for you!

   Love it so much! The only cream primer/sunscreen combo that doesn’t irritate my rosacea or give me oil slick skin an hour later.

   I first got a sample of this with an Algenist order, and then ordered two jars of this, because I really liked it. It is a thichk-ish, silicone-heavy, pink cream with a slight smell of watermelon, or something like that. I don’t care for perfume in skin care, but the smell of this is very faint and hasn’t irritated my skin (used it for about two months now, every day).

   My skin is slightly dry-normal, with slightly oily T-zone, some hyperpigmentation, somewhat sensitive. I actually really like certain types of silicones: they are water-binding agents, moisturizers, great for scar healing and work well for me as primer under my foundation. This cream makes the skin feel silky (because of the silicones), and mattifies my skin. For my sensitive skin, they work absolutely great, and hide some of the small flakiness from my use of retinods. On top of that, they are good at keeping makeup put if my skin gets damp, like during exercise.

   I really like that this cream provides some sun protection, as I have some hyperpigmentation issues that require sunscreen during the day. I layer this on top of an SPF 50 sunscreen. This ha physical sun protecting ingredients though, which many people might not enjoy, as they give the face a whitish-pinkish cast. However, since I put foundation over this, that’s absolutely not a problem for me – both liquid and powder foundation are able to conceal the cast.

   Someone said this pilled on them. I haven’t experienced that AT ALL; not over bare skin, not over toner, not over any type of sunscreen I’ve used, with none of the foundations I have…I’m wondering whether the product might be old then, or if there are several skin care products applied, and some of them don’t go together with the cream

   One negative thing about this cream though: it’s expensive. For someone that wants something similar, but for cheaper, I can recommend the Autralian Gold Tinted Botanical Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 or the Bioderma Hydrabio Perfecteur SPF 30. The latter things also don’t have any perfume added, which this moisturizer does. Perfume is not a good thing in skin care, especially for more thin, sensitive skin, which is why I have deducted a lippie. If anyone is wondering, this smells kinda…watermelon maybe?

   I can’t really recommend everyone to go buy this: this is for those people that want a 2-in-1 primer and poisturizer, with SPF, for under heavy, long-wear foundation, and don’t worry about fragrance in their facial skin care. For those who don’t wear makeup or wear moisturizing, creamy products, a silicone product will just prevent the foundation or tinted moisturizer from sticking to the skin. This is not a grippy primer-product, but one that lets products over it spread better. Thus, not everyone’s cup of tea, but I like it

   Not sure what to make of this product. It gives my already pale face a ghostly appearance and feels slightly rubbery, for want of a better word. I am not impressed at all.

   Wow do I like this. SA at Sephora recc because I wanted something I could layer under makeup that plays well as a primer/moisturizer/sunscreen

   Pros:
   -Does moisturize nicely and I have normal to dry
   -Doesn’t cause foundation to “break”
   -Nice not greasy, or that “sweaty” feeling with other sunscreens
   -I haven’t noticed pilling, although I do see it in other reviews. I have used for two mos with no issues with MUFE HD stick and F&B MAC

   Cons:
   -Jury is out about sun protection. As we head into summer, we’ll see.
   -I haven’t noticed blurring, I never wear on its own
   -Price, price,price
   -If you’re not into jar packaging, that may be a deal breaker

   Currently my fave out there (tried the Murad one, Coola. Too silicone and made makeup break up. This may be a function of mixing water based with sliicone base. My bad) In the running to be a HG

   I have extreme combination skin, and liked the idea of a moisturizer with SPF that was anti-aging and blurred any signs of wrinkles or dryness. Unfortunately, the blurring is just very fine pink shimmer. Doesn’t really do a lot. This isn’t nearly moisturizing enough for my extremely dry cheeks and actually didn’t do anything for dry patches. They stayed dry and weren’t blurred at all. I had a sample of this and would definitely not pay full price for a jar. Also, jars are unsanitary because it forces you to stick your fingers in it and contaminate the product.

   This moisturizer seems to pill on me a little bit. I still like the overall look but pilling is not worth the high price to repurchase.

   I love the rich texture of this moisturizer with spf. It feels luxurious going on. I have slightly oily skin and this leaves a matte finish to my skin. I have a sample size of this product from the 2016 Sun Safety Kit from Sephora. This product did not break me out. I am not sure if this is broad spectrum spf. The moisturizer has a slight fragrance that lingers throughout the day. Overall it’s the cost at $75 for 2 oz. that is stopping me from repurchasing.

   When Sephora first started carrying Algenist, it seemed like such a gimmicky luxury brand. Algae? Really? But, I’m slowly coming around. Everything I’ve tried in the Algenist line has been really nice, and it’s clear that a lot of R&D goes into their products. This moisturizer IS really nice. It has a luxurious whipped consistency, the application is smooth, and it provides a great base for makeup and doesn’t leave a white cast. It also has 30 SPF! Unfortunately, it is not for me.

   For someone with normal or slightly oily skin who likes silicone-based primers, this is probably perfect and potentially a 3-in-1 product (moisturizer, sunscreen, primer), which might offset the high cost for some people. However, it wasn’t moisturizing enough for me and my dry skin. And, while it works great for me if I wear moisturizer underneath (it contains a LOT of dimethicone and is very occlusive) it balls up if I apply it before letting the moisturizer underneath set completely, which complicates my morning routine. I’m also trying to stay away from chemical sunscreen ingredients, and while this contains 10% zinc oxide, it also contains Octinoxate. Not worth it to me for $37/oz.

   For dry skinned folks, I’d recommend Algenist’s UV Defense Fluid (SPF 50). It’s one of the nicest sunscreens I’ve ever tried, and I would repurchase it if they removed the chemical sunscreen ingredients from the formula. It’s also much cheaper at $28/oz. Right now, I’m using and loving FAB’s Ultra Repair Pure Mineral Sunscreen Moisturizer (SPF 40), which is excellent and even less expensive ($15/oz).
