So gentle, I double cleanse with this cleanser to take off most of my make up before bed (doesn’t seem to take off all my stubborn eyeliner gel). I first purchased this cleanser years ago at one of the Australian Skin and Laser clinics I went to, they used this to cleanse and prep my face for procedures such as microdermabrasion and skin needling. This is now the only cleanser I use and have repurchased over 7 bottles. A bottle is reasonably priced and lasts a long time!

Wasn’t harsh at all. I have sensitive skin and it was also gentle. Didn’t dry my skin out. I used it with combination with cream and vitamin C powder from there range.

Absolutely love this cleanser. It is the only gentle cleanser that removes all my face makeup, without stripping my skin (neutrogena) or leaving a residue that eventually clogs my pores (Paula’s choice). I have struggled with acne for the past 6 years. Since switching the skinstitut, I have seen a huge difference in my skin. I barely have any pimples anymore! I’m onto my second bottle already and have recommended it to my friends and family. I also love the 14% Glycolic scrub. It is a must! I wish it came in a pump bottle, as it comes out of the tube extremely fast and I always end up using more than I need.
Please note: I have also starting taking 500mg of magnesium per day. Which has also helped my skin clear up immensely. AND i’ve also stopped “picking, popping and touching”!

I’ve been using the Skinstitut Gentle Cleanser to remove my makeup for about six months now, and I can now safely say that it’s excellent and I love it. The Gentle Cleanser is a topaz-coloured gel that is packaged in a plain 200ml white tube. You apply it on wet skin and work it into a lather, then rinse off. It takes off all my makeup, including eye makeup without stripping my dry skin. I’m too lazy to use a makeup remover followed by a cleanser so I’m very glad that this does both jobs effectively.
My skin is very fussy about the products I use and reacts very swiftly when it doesn’t like something but so far the Gentle Cleanser hasn’t caused me any problems. Occasionally I get flaky around my nose but that’s more due to the tretinoin I use at night than the cleanser.
This comes in a decent-sized tube that is easy to handle in the shower and while it isn’t dirt cheap it isn’t expensive. I can buy it in shops in Australia but it’s cheaper to buy online.
Apparently the ingredients are:
CremogenM-82: a mixture of plant extracts providing antioxidant support and is used to purify and smooth dull tired skin.
Aloe Vera: healing and soothing properties.
Raspberry Vinegar: Cleanses and provides additional anti-oxidants for environmentally stressed skin.
Actiphyte of Goji Berries:
A rich form of vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants, it has excellent anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant properties.
