Super expensive and decent ingredients but makes outrageous claims – and gets spa clients to part with their cash. This is a moisturizer and the first 2 ingredients are – water and glycerin. Later on (way down the list) the peptides and actives are there.
A nice cream but for me – not worth the coin.

Claims:
A powerful anti-aging technology that combines two newly developed Pentapeptides with Thymosin beta-4, Transformation Growth Factor beta-1, and Vascular Growth Factor. Transformation Face Cream utilizes ingredients specifically tailored to signal certain activities, including the rebuilding and repair of damaged cells making it excellent for maintaining and augmenting the appearance of youthful, healthy skin.
Review:
The big-deal ingredient in this very expensive fragranced moisturizer is transforming growth factor (TGF beta-1) along with other types of growth factors. The claims for the actions of these ingredients are at best exaggerated, and their effectiveness isn’t established in skin-care products. This also contains some good water-binding agents that help bind moisture and repair skin. Antioxidants are on hand but they and the peptides in this moisturizer won’t remain potent for long due to jar packaging.
All plant extracts, vitamins, antioxidants, and other state-of-the-art ingredients break down in the presence of air, so once a jar is opened and lets the air in these important ingredients begin to deteriorate. Jars also are unsanitary because you’re dipping your fingers into them with each use, adding bacteria which further deteriorate the beneficial ingredients.
Note: the elastin in this product cannot fuse with or rebuild the elastin in your skin. At best, elastin is a good moisturizing ingredient but it cannot restore or repair damaged elastin.
Although this moisutrizer’s price and packaging are significant drawbacks, if you decide to try this it is best for normal to dry skin.

I received this from a derm. that works at the same hospital. This cream does contains some good water-binding agents that help bind moisture and repair skin. Antioxidants are on hand but they and the peptides in this moisturizer won’t remain potent for long due to jar packaging.

Also there is zero sunscreen– @ 89.00 retail you would expect at least an SPF of 15 from a line formulated by an M.D. since this is not meant to be worn solely at night.
Fragrance is included and can cause irritation and does nothing for the skin.

I first noticed Jan Marini products for sale in a dermatolgists office and had been wanting to try them. Transformation cream makes a lot of claims, but I found it to be a very ordinary moisturizer, for the exorbitant price and to keep the ingredients fresh it should be in a pump dispenser not a pot, I don’t think dipping hands into a pot is hygienic, I’ve also tried their hydro-silk line without success.

I purchased this to go along with my bioclear cream. I was hoping this would hydrate my acne-prone skin but it pretty much did nothing. My skin felt really tight and it looked like I didnt even moisturize. I use Yonka creme 15 now which I love love! As far as the anti-aging…I am 23 so I didnt see any results.

I’ve only used this cream for three nights, but it feels nice. It doesn’t really moisture enough through these winter-months, but i use jojobaoil for that.
Ive got mild rosacea and havent reacted to this cream so far.
I will update in a few weeks use.
Update: I really love this cream now, I’m uncertain about what it does exactly, but it feels so good and smells divine.

I am very impressed with the Jan Marini line and have been slowly adding new products to my skincare regime. I was recommended the Transformation cream by a couple of the facialists at the salon I visit. Unfortunately it was too rich for my combination skin and would make my T-zone much oiler than my previous Pevonia combination cream.
I now use the Transformation serum and love it as T-zone oiliness has dramatically improved.

This stuff is amazing.
No matter WHAT the state of my skin – dry, rough or flaky – as soon as I use the Jan Marini Bioglycolic Cleanser (left on the skin for a few minutes before washing off, to let the chemical exfoliant do its work) and then finish off with Transformation Cream, my skin will always feel amazing!
The wonderful thing about this cream is that it shows the difference between water and moisture in the skin, and oil. Most moisturisers seem to add oil without adding moisture at all – but Transformation Cream makes your skin feel so moisturised without a smidgen of oiliness at all. Your skin will just feel smooth and soft and lovely!
This is HG stuff. The HG of all HGs moisturisers. I have to note, though, that I don’t use it for any of its claimed anti-aging properties – I use it simply as a moisturiser, but even just as a moisturiser it is beyond compare to anything else out there.

Pros:

– hasn’t broken me out
– great under make up
Cons:
– a bit pricy
– doesn’t moisturize enough for me
I don’t think it’s all that and given how hard it is to obtain in Australia, I think I will move on when it runs out.

I bought this strictly for moisturizing (per a facialist I know) as RAM and AHA left my skin so dry and scaly. As a hydrator this is superb! I can wear it under my LM MMU and it looks flawless. I just love how it instantly calms and soothes my skin. Funny thing is, I’ve been cutting back on Botox this past year and have gone almost 11 months with no Botox while using this cream and it has in no way helped my wrinkles. Still there!!! So I really think the “growth factor” stuff is not gonna cut it. For stubborn forhead wrinkles and undereye lines this is not a be-all cure-all. However, I must admit I’ve already bought another tub just for the lovely moisturzing. Silly me! I think, deep down, I hope it will make me look 18 and I can give up the Botox. As of right this moment….I’m heading back to my derm for more shots for my b-day!
