Bought these after hearing the hype for so long. These are GREAT for smoothing out skin texture and fighting acne. I still get hormonal acne and the occasional clogged pore that take forever to purge and heal. This product cleans my pores out almost overnight and after a couple days the hormonal acne starts to clear up nicely. The trick though is to keep using these once or twice a week which for some reason I keep forgetting to. Thanks to the other reviewers here I took the advice to cut these in half. Not only does this double the amount of pads it also saves money AND it doesn’t reduce the amount of product in the pad much because these pads are really soaked in product and one half of a pad does a really great job for the face. Great product and would buy again!

This is without a doubt a holy grail. Why? Because my 40-year old skin responds to a lack of use with dry skin, clogged pores, wrinkles and dullness. I ran out of these some weeks ago, thinking, they don’t make such a BIG difference and there are alternatives (Advanced Night Repair, Vichy Serum, The Ordinary Serums, Mario Badescou Enzyme Gel, etc.).
Boy was I wrong! I recently had my photo taken with colleagues: My skin didn’t look as nice as it usually does, rather lifeless, although I had taken the same effort to do my makeup. The pads seem to polish the top layer of my skin like nothing else and moisturize intensely at the same time. I believed Potion 50 by Biologique Recherche to do the same but it rather dried out my combination skin. If you are looking after a dramatic difference, this is it: I use it every other night, it keeps my pores as small as possible and hydrates like nobodies business. A cheaper alternative that comes close is Ordinary’s Peeling Solution Mask (AHA 30%) but these pads are way easier to use.

My skin is currently dehydrated. With that said I used this product 2-3X a week with zero results. I returned it. The ingredients are good. Just not working for me.
Rated 5 out of 5 by bo from Excellent product… Very good product for my condition. I live in a very mild zip cold city. My skin is generally dehydrated and does not have much hydration ability, so I’ve been using this product three to six times a week. I can feel my pores getting watery. So far I’ve taken this product 3x a week. There are little scars but it feels so much better when I wear it.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Doc from Pls Do It This!!! I got a applicator to use on my skin, it was falling apart because I hadn’t applied one and was having such problems it wasn’t bothering me as much. Can’t imagine how good that was in my life. I used this product 2 weeks after I finished using it. But it has never stopped in my skin. Before I give it a second try I tried it in the shower and it helped control my skin. And, that was the last time I tried the area just before use, not because I was disgusted but because my skin just had that feeling I had a problem with no natural immunity or anything like that. I’m feeling it all over again but hope that this helps others. It’s a few coats is not very long. I’ve used this as a spring breaker by now, my skin doesn’t start smelling like the stuff the flu likes to throw on my skin. It helps control the inflamed areas. I’ve had no symptoms I know the flu causes to grow and not to rattle or itch the way a spray could. Last but not least, it’s highly nourishing for my skin and helps remove excess liquid from my pores with no effort. Again if this helps a lot you’ll use it.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Protecci from has! Before I didn’t feel it got too cold my skin needed its own place. We bought this product at the store where it sold for $17 but you can’t find the same thing anywhere else!! It cleansse my skin and puts acne marks down more easily. There is literally a meal im done before it starts getting so hot my skin started sticking together. It’s made for five people only that want it. Everyone was impressed!

These are THE BEST exfoliating pads i have used!
i am an avid fan and user of acids!
my skincare journey started about 12 years ago.
these were one of the FIRST pads i have ever tried but i was so new to the skincare world and so excited about it that i wanted to try EVERYTHING possible (thinking there is always something “better”).
at one point in my life i had used a 30% AHA cream (with a ph level of 3.4) as my DAILY moisturizer!
but in return to using all these acids i had RED BLOTCHY DRY FLAKY IRRETATED skin.
i backed down and started trying MANY of the peel pads on the market (im talking about TENS of different brands) …some were ok, some were not, some made me dry, some made me red, some made me breakout….but none were “perfect”.
then i moved on to “exfoliating toners” such as paula’s choice 2% BHA (which i hated and made my face a look like a nightmare after extended use!), then i tried the popular “pixie glow tonic”, i then tried the super popular “Lotion P50” (that EVERY SKINCARE blogger in the world simply RAVES about) and although it has AMAZING ingredients in it with a wide mix of acids and antioxidants and niacinimide (and so on) it still did not agree with my skin….
it agrravated my skin, and i felt that it did not make my skin as smooth as other acid products have made it in the past.
and after all that journey i came back to this beloved so called “useless” pads (according to the beautypedia team review).
they say it is useless due to it having a high ph level of 5.5 (and i get that).
but in the name of god….if these peel pads are so “useless” and practically the same as “putting water on your skin” then how in the world does this make my face SO Smooth,Radiant,Clear,And beautiful?!
Trust me, these work AMAZINGLY well but without any redness, irratation,or dryness.
i swear that i will NEVER use any other acid based daily moisturizer or peel pads besides this.
it takes care of any dry patches i might have and leaves me with clear smooth super glowing skin thats ready for makeup.
and is very well priced (compared to the outrageous price dennis gross sells his “alpha beta peel pads” which these PTR pads work just as good and if i maysay even better!).
buy this, your skin will love you for it.

This is an effective exfoliator. I prefer using these at night before any serums and moisturizers. Though I personally wouldn’t use them on the same night as a retin-a product – that would be too much for my skin. I typically use these every second or third night, though I know some use them daily. One pad covers my face, neck, chest, hands and lower arms. Throughout the year, I typically switch this out with other options (P50, Herbivore), depending on my needs or if I run out and want to try something different. However, this is always a product I will go back to.
I like the packaging. The pads are kept in a plastic jar. There is enough liquid so the pads do not dry out. I do wish PTR made a more travel friendly version like the singles by Dr. Gross.
awedGranola7
One of my fave PTR products. I would use this just once every evening and rinse after 1 minute. It did tingle but not in a bad way and always left my pores looking smaller along with a overall glow to my skin (this was always more noticeable on my face compared to hands etc). I like a fair number of the PTR formulations, this one especially as it contains a lot of different antioxidants and more so because it gives me visible results each time I use it!

My first glycolic pads and a huge success. I’ve got reactive skin with adult acne caused by cosmetics, so was super careful at first. I used a pad once a week, then twice a week and finally got down to everyday use. Following advice from other MUA reviewers, I cut each pad into two, so had a supply for 3 months. No breakouts, clean and smooth skin, wrinkles diminished a bit – I loved it. Now I’ve been using P50V toner from Biologique Recherche and though I like it a lot, I would like to buy those pads again. Unfortunately not easily available where I live now.

I’ve been a long time user of Paula’s choice Bha 2% toner after washing my face. I don’t usually see much difference with that product so I decided a change was due so I picked up this product. After using just 2 times I saw a major difference! Pores were clearer and smaller and skin looked clearer. I did not know I was supposed to rinse the solution off and I don’t. I don’t think my skin suffers in any way with leaving this on. The pads are so saturated that I do my hands, arms, chest, upper back, face, neck, and still the pads are not dried out. I may try cutting them in half but they are slippery little things. The solution is a little soapy feeling but only a little irritating so I am working up to using these every night. Since I have rosacea I am being careful. I found a deal on these on Jet.com.

OOPS – I didn’t know we were supposed to RINSE these off! I’ve used them about 5-6 times without rinsing and didn’t even notice it to be a problem! Hmmm…..I guess my skin is used to the acids and whatnot. I didn’t suffer any effect by not rinsing!!!
I’m not sure I would repurchase these due to price but they do feel really nice going on. They do not tingle on me at all and actually have some moisturizing aspects to them which I like. Each pad is well saturated.
Jury is out on whether these are really doing much for my skin but they are definitely not hurting. They feel comfortable on my dry-ish 45 year old skin.

I used up the whole tub and didn’t find these did anything for my skin beyond what a Pixi Glow Tonic can do for a much lower price. This was advertised as having a much higher acid percentage than a number of other peel pads/exfoliating toners and I just don’t find them to yield results better than cheaper acid alternatives. I get much better results from my beloved P50.
