The antioxidant impact is noticeable, but sadly this product breaks me out in little pimples. Surprisingly, due to the fact that I generally don’t get this. This item seems comparable to yet less effective than retinol, and that does not damage me out, so I am simply mosting likely to persevere.

This is a wonderful effective antioxidant – ferulic is combined with the famous SkinCeuticals c product. That’s too much cash that I would certainly ever before in a million years invest. Lengthy Live The Ordinary. I mix this with vitamin c (l ascorbic acid – among the ordinary’s) & a decrease of alpha lipoic acid in the early morning, and also Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate vitamin c + this + alpha lipoic acid in the evening. They claim it enhances the various other antioxidants. I’ve gone through so many bottles. I utilize these products very moderately, and also they are not goopy or oily sensation at all. Just if you make use of too much that your skin can’t absorb. AM & PM I follow with a nice rich moisturizer, and certainly sunscreen in the am. I also make use of retin an and do not get irritated.

Fantastic item! I have actually been utilizing it mixed with vitamin c powder from the same brand every morning and also it has actually done wonders for my skin. It offers a bit of sparkle and also feels rather hydrating. I allow it take in for regarding 5 minutes an after that put my sun block on the top. My make-up (Estée Lauder double wear stay in area) always look glowing and also extremely skin like.

The antioxidant effect is noticeable, but unfortunately this product breaks me out in little pimples. Surprisingly, because I normally don’t get this. This product seems similar to but less effective than retinol, and that does not break me out, so I am just going to stick with it.

This is a great powerful antioxidant – ferulic is mixed with the legendary SkinCeuticals c serum. That’s too much money that I’d ever in a million years spend. Long Live The Ordinary. I mix this with vitamin c (l ascorbic acid – one of the ordinary’s) & a drop of alpha lipoic acid in the morning, and Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate vitamin c + this + alpha lipoic acid at night. They say it enhances the other antioxidants. I’ve gone through so many bottles. I use these products very sparingly, and they are not goopy or oily feeling at all. Only if you use too much that your skin can’t absorb. AM & PM I follow with a nice rich moisturizer, and of course sunscreen in the am. I also use retin a and don’t get irritated.

Great product! I’ve been using it mixed with vitamin c powder from the same brand every morning and it has done wonders for my skin. It gives a little bit of shine and feels quite hydrating. I let it absorb for about 5 min an then put my sunscreen on top. My makeup (Estée Lauder double wear stay in place) always look radiant and very skin like.

Used up half a bottle and have already repurchased this. I use 2-3 drops of this daily with half a scoop of LAA powder to mix my own vitamin c serum. This has an oily consistency, but not when mixed with some aloe vera gel.
While i can’t attest to how well this product works on its own, I’m very grateful deciem revolutionized the industry and brought premium ingredients like this antioxidant to the masses at such an affordable price!
My skin thanks you, Brandon Truaxe 🙂

Honestly…I’m really liking this.
My skin is very acne/rosacea-prone and oily with a dehydrated barrier.
A list of the pros:
-Hydrating without breaking me out.
-Doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin.
-Looks AMAZING under my matte foundation.
-Boosts my skin’s sun protection… I can wear this during the day unlike my chemical exfoliators.
-The anhydrous formula (anhydrous = water-free) means it’s a lot more stable and has a longer shelf life.
-Brightening effect is similar to what I’ve been getting from CSI Youth Serum (an anhydrous 12% l-ascorbic acid serum).
-Dries down and doesn’t pill under make up…make up actually has been gliding on a lot easier.
-Cheap…but I’d be willing to pay a higher price.
The cons:
-If you have tougher skin than me or skin that is acclimated to stronger antioxidants… this isn’t for you. Resveratrol will never be as strong as actual vitamin c (specifically l-aa). But that’s exactly what my skin needs – a gentle formula.
-If you apply too much of this OR if you apply it to damp skin… it takes quite a while to dry down. In the meantime it feels as if you smeared oil onto your face. It will dry down fully within 20 minutes if you don’t over apply it. Most people apply way too much.
I think that overtime this eventually might not be strong enough for me and I’ll go crawling back to the CSI Youth Serum. But as of right now, this is perfect. I don’t love all of The Ordinary’s skincare line. I’ve tried almost all of it, and among the hits – there’s been a lot of misses. I’ll definitely be repurchasing this.

I like mixing this with True Botanicals vitamin C powder and this combination has made a big difference with my skin. It’s brighter and helps manage the red bumps I get due to my rosacea.

Mid 30s Asian mixed, dehydrated combo skin here, have been using this alongside a vitamin c serum at night for about a month. For some reason I’m only now trying this as I’d been focusing only in vitamin c to brighten some scars on my face.
I have to say after using with Vitamin c my face appears much brighter and clearer in the morning. Bear in mind I use the Ordinary’s 1% retinol 3 times a week. Also it hasn’t irritated my skin at all. There is a warming sensation when I first apply but otherwise it’s fine.
Had been developing some crepey fine lines under my eyes but I have to say with this routine they have improved slightly.
I will continue to use this in my night routine.

Love love love! I’ve used this for over a month and I can feel an improvement after just one week. My skin feels smoother, more moisturized, less red and inflammed. It feels like baby skin. I mix three drops with a splash of toner and press it onto my face and neck and then spread it out. I rub the mixture in my hands first so that my hands feel the heat first. I’m going to use this forever.

Skin type: dry sensitive red flaky
Environment: cold windy dry dusty
Pros:
– cheap
– great anti-aging ingrdients
– relieve dryness
– feels firmer and resilient the next morning
– calms flakes a bit
– make the skin feels softer the next day
Cons:
– not hydrating (skin feels slightly dry in the morning)
– better to use at night since it feels slimy
– no major or dramatic change (anti-aging purpose)
– feels slightly weird on the skin (feels warm)
– bad packaging for sensitive ingredients
This is for dry skin people because the texture is pretty rich like oil. However, I was hoping it to calm all my flakes and hydrate the skin but that did not happen… instead it firmed and softened my cheeks and evened out the texture. There is no WOW moment with this product but it is great anti-aging ingredient according to science so i will continue to use this.
I use the product at night before the toner and the cream. The slimy texture disappears after applying splashing toner with my hands. My skin is fragile so i prefer boosters that can strengthen the skin. Ceramide, ferulic acid, vit c and bisabolol worked great to firm the skin and made my Skin feels stronger. My husband commented that my facial skin feels firmer (like mochi) after two weeks of using this.

I’ve been reading up on the topical efficacy of the two antioxidants used in high concentration here.
There were conflicting reports on resveratrol, where one from 2011 stating that it metabolizes too qickly to have time to be effective, yet another from 2017 in vivo (i.e. studies on live skin) assessment showed it’s antioxidant effects were still active throughout the epidermis 24 hours after application.
A very recent general one also paint a rosy picture, the abstact of which can be found here:
Ferulic acid is prone to fast oxidation, but still seems effective.
Now to the product itself.
I use this in the morning. over TO HA+B5 or Matrixyl serums. Three drops is plenty.
I don’t experience any hot sensation and it’s not at all oily on my dry/dehydrated skin.
The barbecue smell (all phenols have a smoky snell) is faint to my nose. If it annoys you, bear in mind the common knowledge the smell of bacon has been shown to be irresistable to men!
It’s too early to have noticed any visible improvement (hence the 4 rating), but I am convinced of it’s capability as a strong AOX serum.
Will probably buy again.
