I don’t know where to begin, 53 yrs old with a history of pretty good skin, tweeking my products here when things get ugly but I am used to finding pretty quickly what will work. Not this last time, for months I looked like a 14 yr old with bad acne, I’m sure it’s hormonal, but my skin was so so sensitive I couldn’t use anything, I tried all my old stuff that worked at one time, really expensive stuff (drunk elephant) and natural stuff, then I ordered some samples from Graydon. My whole world changed, the first time I used this before bed, I woke up my face was clearer and the red was faded. It’s an oil, I have used these types of formulas before and they worked for a few days and then I broke out, not this time, I’ve used this for 6 weeks and my skin just gets better, I use this with the green cream from Graydon, I mask with their mask/scrub once a week and use the putty for cream afterwards… I have not used the foam cleanser, but the aloe one I use twice a day, now instead of trying to cover up my face with foundation, I use very little concealer under my eyes and a few spots that are still healing. My skin now is soft, clear and the red is fading everyday, I look younger and healthier. Graydon offers samples on almost everything, I try it all for at least a week before I buy the full size… I will never be without this .. ever.

I’m not using this serum anymore as I’m dealing with a bad reaction from their Super Sensitive Face Foam. This serum is not helping my skin heal at this time. Will not use this product or any product from this skincare line anymore.

FYI: I have been using this serum along with their cleanser (Super Sensitive Face Foam), mist (Face Food Mineral Mist) and moisturizer (Super Sensitive Skin Stuff).
Now onto the review. I love this serum, it is the ‘bomb’! Seriously. I have tried a few serums before (mostly from Paula’s Choice), but never had a satisfactory result. They would either clog my pores, irritate my skin, make me breakout or do nothing for my skin. I’m actually impressed by how well this product has worked on my acne-prone skin. It took only one day for me to fall in love with it. No bad reaction and no breakout.
It is a serum, but it is actually a facial oil. It contains different types of oils which offer lots of antioxidants and many benefits for the skin. Like raspberries, blueberries and cranberries. One drop is enough for the whole face (If I use two drops it will get greasy). It absorbs fairly quickly into my skin without leaving a greasy layer. This serum does not provide enough moisture on its own for my skin type which is combination. I always follow-up with their moisturizer, Super Sensitive Skin Stuff, and it’s perfect. There is a slight smell which I don’t mind at all. It doesn’t linger on the skin after it’s applied.
My skin was really irritated before starting this serum. It was dry, red, greasy/dehydrated and I had a few inflamed acne, one that was a cystic acne. After applying this serum, the cyst decreased in size the next day. The redness was also decreased and after one week, it was gone/flat without leaving a noticeable red mark. All that without dryness. Usually when I had a cystic acne it would hurt a lot as well as be very inflamed, red and irritating for days. When I used BP or AHA to treat it, it would get worse before it gets better. But not this time. Do take note that it’s not a cure for acne. If you have chronic acne you might need to use proper acne treatment. Still, it definitely helps so it’s worth trying. I don’t have chronic acne, just random spots (Hormonal acne). My skin tone looks much more healthier too. Redness is reduced, skin is moist and plump.
I never thought that I would have good results with facial oils. I always thought that they would clog my pores. But no. They actually healed my skin. I no longer have dehydrated skin. I think that’s also why my skin is no longer greasy during the day. My skin doesn’t need to produce more oil so I don’t have to blot my face as much as before.
Overall, this is a fantastic serum. When used with the other products, Super Sensitive Face Foam, Face Food Mineral Mist and Super Sensitive Skin Stuff, it works even better IMO. Even if it’s expensive, 55 CAD for 15ml, I will repurchase because it works. It might be my HG serum. I will come back edit this review after a few more months of uses. 🙂
