I’ve used this for the past two years and really like it. I am sensitive to some products that contain AHA (they break me out in a bumpy rash), but this one works very well with my skin. I put it on at night and in the morning my skin feels soft and smooth…definitely a noticeable change in texture, with no redness or irritation. The only things I dislike about this product are the price and the packaging. I feel it is overpriced for what it is, but I have yet to find anything else that works as well with my skin, so I keep repurchasing. The packaging is not my favorite because it is impossible to tell how much product is left, and I feel it’s pretty bulky for a measly 1.7 oz.

Used to love this, but the last 2 times I purchased, my skin broke out. Won’t be using again

It is so gentle that it is useless… There are much better AHA products out there that are more effective. This one is a waste of money. If your skin is sensitive, use a product with lactic acid instead. If your skin is not sensitive, then there is no value in using this one.

This is another excellent product from Paula’s choice! It can be really hard to find an effective daily exfoliant that is not too harsh or drying. This formula is very elegant. Not only does it have AHA at an effective pH it also includes peptides, ceramides and antioxidants. It has the texture of a light moisturizer and it absorbs into the skin rather quickly. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and moisturized but not too heavy. It has helped greatly with the dry, rough textured skin on my cheeks and it also helps fade stubborn hyperpigmentation. I used two pumps once a day and it lasted 3 months. This is a definite repurchase!

I love this stuff. I drift away, but keep coming back. It makes my skin subtly different, in a great way. It is less irritating than almost everything else I try, bra 1 and 2%, retinal, retin a, vitamin C, etc. try sticking with it and not adding other products at the same time. Slow and steady wins the race…..

I didn’t like it!
I got the travel size as part of a promo when I ordered my other Paula’s choice products for free. Which is great, because if I had to pay for the full size I would’ve been dissapointed for wasting my money. First off, this stuff smells funky. I can’t describe the smell but it’s just strange and I don’t like it, but thankfully it dissipates after I apply my serum and moisturizer on top. I used this in the PM because I use my PC bha in the AM. I think this irritated my skin because when I woke up the next morning I had red bumps on my face! And it made my face feel scaly.
So this is definitely a pass for me.

I love this product. It works (use at night and wake up to fresh looking skin) and it smells lightly like melons despite being fragrance free.

I bought a sample. After three uses couldn’t see any positive difference in my skin. I’ve tried to like PC products but they always make my skin only drier 🙁

I have an olive complexion with some sensitivity, and normal-oily combination skin that can get very greasy in the T-zone. I was fairly convinced that BHA was needed to clear out my clogged pores, and have been trying all the PC BHA exfoliants to find the right one for me. While I was ordering samples, I figured I would also try the AHAs to see what they were about.
To my surprise and delight, AHA seems to be very effective on my skin! I have already tried (and wrote positive reviews for) the 8% and 10% AHA treatments. Over the last couple of days, I have tried Resist 5% Daily AHA, and like it very much as well.
Resist 5% AHA has a pearly-brownish color with an inoffensive natural scent that reminds me of B-vitamin complex. The product spreads very easily, soaks in quickly and is non-irritating. The scent dissipates right away. It doesn’t leave me greasy at all. It does dry a little bit sticky in some areas, but any lingering stickiness completely goes away if other non-sticky products (eg serum) are subsequently applied. Since it is a lower concentration, I didn’t get the dramatic overnight effects I saw with the 8% and 10% products. However, Resist 5% AHA is gentle enough to be used daily, and I did see noticeable improvement in my skin texture after 2 days of using it 1x per day.
Although AHA seems to be marketed towards those with dryer skin, it might be just the thing that is needed for rough patches that don’t seem to respond otherwise, even if you have oily skin. It is great that PC offers samples–I probably would have overlooked this great product otherwise! I definitely would consider a full purchase of this product.

This is probably my biggest HG product. I have found nothing like it, and believe me I have tried (like when PC inexplicably is out of stock for weeks at a time). It is a light, silky (but not occlusive and silicony) concentrated lotion (so a little goes a long way) that leaves my skin glowing, even-toned, and a bit firmer. When I go without it I see significant worsening of my skin–it looks duller, fine lines are more apparent, and it has less elasticity (e.g., when I smile, my nasolabial folds are more apparent). So I think it is a superb all-around anti-aging product with numerous benefits. I have tried replacing it with products that have glycolic acid as the main ingredient, but they never work the same, so I believe what Paula claims about all the other beneficial ingredients in the product (e.g., antioxidants). The container is well designed so that it dispenses in a controlled manner. I guess the only negatives are that you can’t tell when you’re about to run out, and it is not cheap. But it is truly worth the cost.
