Firstly – this is no longer known as ‘Exfoliating Peel’ but as an ‘Exfoliating Mask’ on their website. Apart from a few minor changes with the ingredients, it’s essentially the same product. I got this a 0.5oz size in a promotion pack of Andalou products for oily skin. I wasn’t too impressed with the Pore Minimizer but definitely prefer this one. It goes on as a clear gel and starts to tingle at the 8 minute mark (for me). As with all of their products I love their ingredients: botanicals, brighteners and in this case you have a form of BHA (Willow Bark Extract) and also some decent exfoliating enzymes (Papain and Bromelain). Truth be told, if it wasn’t for the fact that it contains brighteners I would find it easier just to use my trusty St Ives scrub in under 2 minutes, start to rinse off and achieve almost identical results with skin texture. But considering I’m getting that smoothness plus the glow I’m happier investing a few more minutes and switching to this instead. As it is I can’t seem to use for longer than 10 minutes absolute maximum as it does start to feel uncomfortable, but this may just be my skin reacting as there are people leaving on for much longer. Helps get rid of dryness/flakes too, which I tend to experience mostly on my forehead, between my brows and just above them. My favorite Andalou product from the bunch so far!

I received this product in a sample pack for oily skin, and although I love all the other products, I’m not impressed with this one. I’ve tried it 3 times. Once for ten minutes, next for 15, then the full 20. I had the most tingling when I left it for 20 mins, but at no time have I noticed a difference in the smoothness or texture of my skin. Very disappointing, I wanted to love it.
The pros are that all the products in this line smell great and the texture is like a lightweight gel that goes on nicely and spreads easily.

Absolutely LOVE this product!! This mask has really helped clear and tone my complexion, my face looks more alive and refreshed. My skin usually finds physical exfoliation harsh and tends to look worse and break out from facial scrubs. However, this exfoliator uses enzymes to break down and remove the dead skin on your face and the results have been amazing. I put a thin layer of this mask on once a week and leave it on for 20 minutes, and then wash it off. Its only a small bottle but I can’t tell its going to last a long time, so its well worth the money! After using this mask, my scars are barely visible, my skin is smoother, I have had less break outs, and I the dry skin I usually get in winter is gone! The ingredients are also very natural so thats a plus too!

Love this! It’s like a mask and I switch between this and the clay mask from this line during the week as a nice pick me up. It doesn’t irritate my skin and it leaves my skin super soft after I rinse it off. As the person mentioned below, it aids in better absorption of serum and moisturizer afterwards. This is a staple of mine and it’s part of my weekly routine.

Loving this. It’s like a gel mask… you apply it to clean dry skin (I use it after a scrub) and leave it on for about 10 minutes. It doesn’t tingle, dry, itch, irritate… but when you rinse it you can feel a smoother complexion. Whatever it does, it does nicely. My serum sinks in nicer, my moisturizer lasts and lasts… I feel like I glow when I use this. It’s really nice. It’s really reasonably priced (I found it at Marshalls for $6 and only picked it up because I had just tried some other products by this brand). The ingredients list is really clean on ALL of Andalou Naturals Products. I highly recommend this, and will be trying more from Andalou.
