   This is an overpriced beautiful bottle of 1 oz. (30 ml) oil that contains 91% Sweet Almond Oil, 4% Sunflower Oil, 1.1% Jojoba Seed Oil according to La Prairie’s patent on the blend of the “Ice Crystal Complex”. (You do the math how much of the “real goodies” you are actually paying for! 🙂 I will disclose that the preservative is at 0.6% concentration, 0.7% other oils -Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride and C10-18 Trigycerides; 1.5% fragrance and 0.0156% of the Ice Crystal Complex: Soldanella Alpina Extract, Saxifraga Oppositifolia Extract, Algae Extract combined, according to the aforementioned patent-document.

   To be fair, the blend of this oil is elegant and is absorbed easily into the skin leaving an elegant sheen.
   Sweet Almond Oil is rich in skin barrier healing/soothing oleic acid having documented effect on having the capability of repairing damaged barrier, however it will not justify the price when you will easily be able to get hold of good quality Sweet Almond Oil from a health store.

   Be aware of that natural oils can cause acne/blemishes for those who are perceptible for this.
   The product contains rather high amount of fragrance too.

   if you told ne that i would be using a face oil i would have thought you crazy but here i am and i would not be without it. Last year i was given a sample which i ingnored untill the cold winter winds hit and then i got it out and mixed just one drop with my night moisturiser. Well what a difference. i thought my skin would be an oily mess but it just sunk in Next morning that tiny drier spot on my check felt suple and soft and stayed that way and i was convinced . I have just opened a new bottle and with cold weather i use two drops mixed into moisturiser morning and night It is a beautiful soft silky oil that is like the rolls royce luxury when added to your routine . I have even added a drop to lip cream in winter with good results. Yes this oil is expensive. Many oils are half or a quater of this price. but i have tried Guerlain oil which is good for my hands but not my face and Sisley oil which is a bit heavy for my skin but a great product . I come back to la prairie dry oil every time and do not regret what it has cost When i am asked about face oil i always recommend this. While most dismiss it due to price those who try it love it and become converted A bottle last for ages as the dropper means no waste. You will not be disapointed La prairie do make beautiful skin care

   Love this dry oil, I have combo skin and this product has not made me more oily it actually balances my skin and it feels plump and soft. I use this at night and only one or two drops,then I use a vitamin C serum like the Olen Henriksen.
   I was hooked to it in the summer, after a day under the sun this will soothe your skin and make your tan amazing!!! It looks amazing under liquid foundation, you have to try it.

   I got hooked on this oil the first time I used it. A SA included it with a purchase I had made, and that was the beginning of our star-crossed love affair. Swiss Ice is called a “Sheer Moisture-Binding Treatment Oil”. It is, without doubt, the best facial oil treatment I have ever used – and I have used several different treatment oils from lines in the drugstore, department store, and boutiques. The worst part about it is what proved to be the deal-breaker for me: the retail price is $300 an ounce! Now, for those of us who have the money to spend, the price would not be the problem for you that it is for me. Spending the equivalent of two weeks’ worth of groceries, or a one-way red eye airplane ticket from San Francisco to New York City on a cosmetic has kept me away from buying a full ounce of this incredible oil! Instead, I buy samples of it on eBay when I can. It’s frustrating, though, because this oil is just so soothing for my very dry and easily irritated complexion. Upon application, it provides a wonderful sheen that makes my face look as if it has been lit from within. And, it is long-lasting and keeps my skin hydrated all day. According to the marketing videos, plant stem cells create a hydration complex responsible for the all-day hydration and protection from environmental stressors! The oil sinks right in, making it a great serum for both day and night. And – it makes my skin glow so beautifully, I often don’t wear foundation on the days I wear the oil. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an exceptional oil that is almost worth the money you would had to spend to buy it.

   I find this a reasonably nice product. On application the feel is nice and soothing (I’m a fan of the feel of facial oils anyway) and the scent is nice (though fragrance can irritate the skin so would be better ‘skincare’ if it was fragrance free). As they’ve advised I’ve used this alone, combined with the Swiss Ice Crystal Cream or combined with any old moisturizer, day or night. I find it leaves my combination skin with a bit of a sheen during the day but feels good on and did not irritate my also rather sensitive skin. Skincare experts advise that products dispensed via a dropper should be used within 3 months of opening to keep the ingredients potent. I don’t think there is anything really necessary or essential about this product and I don’t even consider it proper skincare (its a bit gimmicky) but all the same its a nice glamourous pick me up.

   Both the cream and the dry oil are absolutely amazing products. I have only used a few samples but I will likey wait until next fall to purchase the full sizes. Your skin GLOWS after applying 2 drops of the oil followed by the cream. These products are an absolute godsend for Canadian freezing winters…I just wish they had released these products earlier so I could benefit from them during the absolute he–ish winter that we have had this year. Likely not ideal for warmer or humid temps unless your skin in ultra-dry…and I agreee with the last review, if your skin is on the oily side then these would be too rich. I must say that LP has hugely succeeded with these 2 products, especially for those that have the misfortune of living in harsh sub-zero climates (like myself). As happy as I am to have spring around the corner, I will definitely look forward to purchasing these in the coming fall season!

   I like this new line from La Prairie. There is a dry oil and a cream which I am testing mixed together as suggested by the manufacturer. The product is a combination of biotechnology and nature. The overall concept is using stem cell DNA derived from several plants that actually thrive in harsh environments (in this case at the top of the Swiss Alps). I haven’t used it long enough to determine permanent or lasting benefits, but the cream with a drop of oil feels nice on my parched skin and just a dab of the oil seals in the moisture all day. I’ve tried it over several of my various other serums. It works under makeup and primer and is hydrating. However, it is WAY too scented for me. Cost is high ($300 for each product), but you only need a VERY tiny bit of each so it will last for quite awhile (especially if you alternate with other prods). The prior reviewer has oilier skin and it may not be right for that. I am ultra dry and would suggest it for those with mature or dehydrated skin, but it is not a rebuy for me and not for anyone with serious scent sensitivities like mine.

   Wild facial oils are all the rage, I hesitated to try one until La Prairie came out with this dry oil. Having combination skin always makes me leery of oil, but I know that’s not always a factor. The first time I used this, I cleansed and toned, applied the oil, then applied the Ice Crystal Cream. I didn’t love the texture or the scent, but forged ahead. I found that it didn’t spread easily, and left certain areas of my face and neck oily while other areas were dry.

   The next application, I cleansed and toned and mixed a couple of drops together with the Ice Crystal Cream. This certainly helped provide a more even application. That said, while I prefer the scent over that of the Skin Caviar Luxe Cream, I found that it doesn’t hold up to the same high standards. The oil used by itself would be overkill unless you live in a very dry, cold climate. If you have combination skin and are prone to ask me in your T-zone, skip the oil altogether. I awoke with a pimple the following morning after using it for the very first time. Overall, a disappointing new product from the brand I love. I’ll be sticking to the Skin Caviar line.
