I would not recommend these to anyone. These did not remove any blackheads… and I have very large clogged up pores on my nose. The strips also leave black marks on your nose after removal. The original pore strips are great, but not these.

Since I’ve started using these strips, I’ve fallen in love! I honestly didn’t really believe the hype about the pore strips, but they really do work! I use them up to 3 times a week after cleansing my face for the night and leave them on for about 12 minutes. Since I started using them, I noticed that my pores were less and less clogged each time. My skin also felt a lot cleaner, and I have had way less blemishes/pimples on my nose. I wish they made these as whole face mask. I plan on repurchasing these and would definitely recommend to any who’s pores get clogged very easily.

I had the most stubborn blackhead on my check below my eye bags. It was so big it stuck out and could not be squeezed out. The regular boot strips did not work. I got these bad boys and it pulled it out no problem! The blackhead was huge and i finally didn’t have a black mark on my face!

I used to wonder why my pore strips never seem to get any blackheads out when others were saying that they could get a ton of them. Then I realized that if I had chemically exfoliated my face right before I use the strip, it could grip onto the blackheads a lot better. I probably had too much dead skin on my nose previously, so the strip pulled out a bunch of dead skin and not the blackheads.
A word of caution though, using the strip will remove another layer of skin cells. If your skin is quite thin, or you cannot tolerate excessive exfoliation, don’t do what I did.

I have been using the regular Biore Pore Strips for years. I thought I would like the charcoal ones, but they aren’t as effective as the regular ones, and they cost more per a strip. Two stars because while they do work to a degree, the regular ones are better. Would not repurchase.

This is a cheap way to remove SOME debris from clogged pores (especially at the sides of the nose) when you can’t get to your facialist, but it has never and never will subplant a good facial with extractions. My 12 year old loves ’em.
I agree with another reviewer nearly verbatim:
“…I don’t think they actually work all that well in terms of the results I see on my face, but I keep using them because it’s so disgustingly satisfying to see all the stuff that comes off on the strip. It does leave your nose rather dry… –invariably, when the strip is dry, there is a little gap between the tip of my nose and the paper. They are amazing for getting the stuff on the sides of my nose though. …for those times when I either need a quick pore fix or just want to pamper myself in a gross way.”

I absolutely love the original Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Nose Strips, but these charcoal ones were a massive fail for me. They didn’t end up removing any blackheads at all, but the original ones always do! This is coming from someone with very large pores and many blackheads. I had high hopes for these charcoal nose strips but they just don’t get the job done very effectively. It’s also a lot messier than the original ones.
I highly recommend buying the original Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Nose Strips, but I unfortunately do not recommend getting these charcoal ones.

I haven’t tried this brand in years but I really wanted something to clean my nose off and these did the job nicely! I love charcoal cleansers and I left this on for 15 mints and could see all the gross stuff it was pulling out. The minor residue washes right off with water. The only down fall to these is that only 6 come in the box I’ll have to search around alittle to see if they make a bigger box!

I’m not sure why a few people said their strips didn’t stick, I followed the instructions and had no issues with that. It was a little painful on the ends of it that touched a bit of my cheeks but nothing unbearable. At first my nose felt smooth and seeing the “gunk” was satisfying. But upon further inspection I realized the area above the Centre of my nose was very rough in comparison(even though the strip was stuck to that part as well). Also the entire area that had the strip was red and stayed red for about ten minutes. So I pulled out my little nose exfoliater and gave my nose a quick scrub. My entire nose felt nice and smooth and my pores felt clean plus they appeared smaller. Using my little finger exfoliater on my nose usually helps but it’s never cleaned my nose the way it did after using the strip. So do I feel as though the strip removed my black heads and cleared my pores? No. But it did remove the dead skin on my nose and help pull up my blackheads which made exfoliating extra effective. My sisters did comment on how smooth my nose looked the next day but despite that I’d only purchase these again if they were on sale, I don’t think they’re worth the price.

Is this a total gimmick, and are you paying a little bit extra for the “charcoal” in those strips? Yes. Does a part of me think it’s worth it because you can see even more clearly what comes out of your pores on a black strip? Yes. However, I don’t find these to be any more or any less effective than the original Bioré strips. Pore strips are obviously a short-term, and most likely not very healthy way of clearing up your pores. But it’s addictively satisfying, and judging it for what it is: Bioré does the best pore strips out there. Sadly, they’re not cruelty free, which means that I have to keep to Formula 10.0.6’s pore strips in the future, since they are the only CF brand doing pore strips that I’ve found in Sweden so far.
