My daughter is mixed, and has curly frizzy hair. I didn’t realize I was settling for mediocre products for her hair until I found this miss Jessie’s pillow soft curls! I had seen this and picked it up a few times and always put it back because it the price (22 + tax). I finally broke down when I had a 20% off coupon and bought it after reading some great reviews! I paid $19 and some pocket change for this at my local Walgreens. To my surprise, for the quality of this product, the $20 I spent was more than well worth it. This product smells like downy and I love the smell of downy. Also instead of making her hair crunchy and ramen noodle looking, this pillow soft curls product made her hair soft, light weight, and gave her big curls not tiny ones which I absolutely love and have never found any other product to do! Also the back of my little girls hair is SUPER frizzy like Brillo pad wiry frizzy and this completely took out every single bit of frizz. It completely transformed my daughters hair. And when I tell you it could not be more truer that the name of this lives up and beyond to what it says. My daughters hair feels like pillow soft curls, but I’m not talking about a standard pillow I’m talking about softer than my luxury foam pillows soft!! I have NEVER found such an amazing product for my daughter. The price is cheap for what it does it really is! I coat my daughters hair down with a half dollar coin sized amount and just WOW. I’m going back to stock up on this because now I honestly can’t see myself using anything else for my little girls hair. I’m glad I decided to buy this because I’ve definitely been missing out. Awesome product that lives up to every claim made. This is better than it’s a 10 too as far as softness goes!! I swear you will not be disappointed!! I’m a top reviewer on here and if you don’t read any other review I write please read THIS one. This is a product sent from Heaven itself!

My favorite hair product.
I have long wavy hair (not too wavy) and this really is the best to keep soft waves without being crunchy or sticky.
Even if you don’t have a lot of curl to your hair, this will keep a wave. I always use a good shampoo and conditioner, then work Miss Jessie’s thoroughly and towel pat or “scrunch” it into my hair. I rarely use heat on my hair, but if i do, this product would protect it from heat. I always let my hair air dry with this product. The waves keep shape and totally soft.
It’s a bit pricey but worth it.
My son uses it as a normal styling aid to keep fly aways under control. We both have thin hair and this doesn’t weigh it down or make our hair look greasy or wet.
I can not recommend this enough.
Its my all time favorite hair product.
If you haven’t tried it, do so…

Smells like downy fabric softener.
Side note…. you can use fabric softener sheets to control static and keep hairs smooth.
I think any type of hair would benefit from this product or any other from this line.

I’ve been using MJ’s for a few days so I feel qualified to add my $0.02…….first of all this smells wonderful like fresh clean clothes (“fabric softener”) & the packaging suckered me in to buying 3 curl creams & her gel I only needed 1 curl cream but you’re missing out, they said. It will be fun to see which one works best, they said. Gimme your $100, they said. Then I obliged the voices in my head & took them home, they quit yelling in my ear after I got thru the check out w my 4 tubes of MJ’s, 3 camille rose products, 2 tubs of eco styler (olive oil & the pink 1), & 2 cans of herbal essences totally twisted mousse I don’t get to go out much so when I’m out I stock the Frick up. PSC gave me perfect curls nice definition I used it w MJ’s gel this is so bizarre tho my hair should be dirty I’m rocking 5 day curls my hair looks thick @ voluminous, no prob! I normally wash ev 4-5 days 5th day is like hat day but I look like I washed it yesterday. Weird–no complaints thou! My hair looks good/smells fresh #winning this doesn’t best my cantu coconut curl creme (cantu products aren’t CG except curl activator if CG matters to u. I don’t want to misinform any1). I believe MJ are CG I’m not product snob by any means stretch, but I’m trying to use up then buy CG YKWIM?

I adore Pillow Soft Curls. It smells like beach air and jasmine and it makes my natural curls less frizzy and way more defined. I can’t afford it all the time at $25 per tube but when I can it makes me so happy. I just apply it on my combed, clean damp hair from root to tip, scrunch and let air dry.Plus it’s formulated without potentially harmful additives. My HG.

I have 3a natural curly hair. My typical routine is gel and hairspray on wet hair and then “plopping” for about 15 minutes or using a defuser.
I bought this product after reading all of the great reviews. I tried it several different ways and, unfortunately, it didn’t work for me.
Pros:
a little bit covers a lot of hair!
LOVE the “fabric softener” fresh scent
It truly made my curls BIGGER
can buy at Walmart (as opposed to high-end store, online, salon…etc)
leaves hair very soft
Cons:

doesn’t control frizz, so I have BIG frizzy curls

I have fine dry 3b/3c hair and this stuff made it fall totally limp. The smell gave me a headache, the product is a tad runny so far too much came out of the tube at once, I think it would be better off with a pump. Oh well this seems to be a hit or miss for people and this was a miss for me.

Doesn’t offer much hold though, so if you have kinky or coiled hair this probably won’t be useful to you.
I use it in addition to my usual routine, not as a stand alone product.
Makes my hair very soft, but adds a minimal amount of shine.

I have naturally tight spiral curls 3b mixed with 3a & 3c’s and don’t mind the fabric softener scent this has. I do the LOC method so after I apply my oil I use about a quarter sized amount if not a lil more and scrunch through my hair..end result perfect soft but defined non frizzy curls for me!!!!!
*I prefer using this in the colder months over the warm summer months just because IMO when I use it in the summer I notice more frizz while using this.

I’ve got a 4c TWA (teeny weeny afro) and this product did nothing for my hair. No curls at all and at the end of the evening I had “peppercorns” on the ends of my hair. I’m really disappointed because Miss Jessie’s products are expensive. I was hoping for more curls and I got almost none.
As I read other reviews, I think this is a product that is best for people who have naturally curly or wavy hair. My hair is naturally kinky and coily, so it didn’t work for me.

This stuff is by far the best curl cream I’ve ever used, and I have used everything under the sun from high end to drugstore brands. This stuff takes the cake. It makes my curls and waves bouncy and eliminates frizz and just makes my hair look really beautiful. I believe this stuff is geared towards ethnic women bc it was in that section, but I’m Caucasian and my hair is wavy and frizzy and this stuff works beautifully. I highly recommend it to anyone no matter what ethnicity you are. If you have wavy or curly hair I think you’ll love it. I have seen complaints of people not liking the smell and saying it smells like detergent. It does have a smell like that, but I actually really love it lol. I feel like my hair smells clean and fresh. The only criticism I have is that it’s pretty expensive. However, it is worth it. Definitely going to keep buying this stuff!
