this is a great product for my dry/sensitive scalp! I’ve used it twice so fare and it noticeably helped with dryness and itching. despite the urea it’s not greasing so i can get away with washing my hair every 2-3 days! not the fanciest shampoo but definitely does what it says! highly recommended!

This review is for Eucerin Dry Skin Shampoo, 5% Urea with Lactate.
I’ve been dealing with a dry, itchy, flaky scalp for years and I didn’t think anything was going to help it. I got this on a recommendation to try something with urea as an active ingredient. And after one shampoo, the itching is gone. There is still a little flaking but noticeably less and I’ve only used the product twice. But it has been so nice to go a week without scratching my scalp.
This product isn’t sold in the US. I have no idea why, but I ordered mine from eChemist.co.uk which has free worldwide shipping and it came in under $15 and took less than a week to arrive.
I’ve tried so many high-end shampoos like Philip B, but this Eucerin with 5% Urea is the only thing that has helped. I just placed another order as a back up and also bought some body cremes from Eucerin with urea that are only available in the UK and will see how they do on my skin.

This is indeed a very mild shampoo.The texture is very thick (hard to apply) and it feels comfortable on the scalp.
I have dry hair with a sensitive scalp, but I also have seb derm now and than, so I have to find a shampoo that doesn’t irritate my scalp, doesn’t make my scalp oily (causes buidup) and cleanses good enough.
This shampoo doesn’t irritate my scalp, but it it is too heavy (moisturizing) for my scalp, so the seb derm and itch became worse.
I think this is a perfect shampoo for sensitive/dry scalps, because it is also frangrance free, but not okay for me.

June 2018: I repurchased this shampoo, because I have developed psoriasis on my scalp and my scalp is very dry. This shampoo stil isn’t working for me. It makes my hair dry and my scalp itchy, there must be something in it what my skin does not like.
