This is a balm that dries to a powder. It sheers out with your fingers pretty easily and is best applied in thin layers. It won’t obliterate any trace of dark circles, and it seems to fade out by mid afternoon, but it is more effective than concealer alone. It is imperceptible under makeup and does not emphasize pores or texture which is quite nice. I would repurchase unless I found something better.

As someone with hereditary dark circles, I have tried every corrector under the sun.

I have been only using Tarte CC for many years now, but here comes Charlotte. Unlike Tarte’s formula, this new Magic Vanish Color Corrector has more of a satin finish and comes in four shades (designed for different skin tones). Shade “Medium” covers my dark circles really well, without accentuating texture. While it is a cream, it is not as emollient as Tarte, yet not as dry as Bobbi Brown. A perfect in-between if you ask me. You can still see peachiness in areas that don’t need correcting, so adding concealer on top is a must for that flawless under-eye brightness.
