Union Jack black is a black, cream polish. It’s perfectly OK, but it is not my favourite black. It needs two coats to give perfect coverage, therefore it doesn’t work as a base colour polish. Also when I stamp with it it looks dark grey, rather than black.
If you are looking for a one coater black give this one a miss. But, if you wear black polish by itself, then try in out.

This has the perfect consistency. Like it’s been said, it’s not too transparent or runny at all! One coat gives me the perfect color. Lasts a good amount too. I also like that Butter London polishes don’t have formaldehyde.

This is the best black creme i’ve tried….it’s really excellent.
The formula is easy to apply and certainly the perfect thickness….not runny or transparent and not thick. It’s fairly quick to dry, and one coat actually seems perfect for me.
At $14, it’s not cheap, but it’s definitely worth buying if you are willing to spend a little more. I got this in a set from Nordstrom with a black “lippy” gloss and it was about $18 total, so that was a nice bargain (as I stare at the unused black gloss!).
The one thing i would do differently if I worked at Butter is rethink the brush. It’s too narrow and not on par with polishes like Dior because of the fact that it takes more strokes to cover the nail, thus more opportunity for failure.
I don’t see this color that often at butter displays, but you can definitely find it online and it appears to not be DC’d.
