I wasn’t crazy about this shade at first but I picked it up based on my love for Just Stitched from the same collection. They share the same great quality and drying speed, however Spun In Luxe doesn’t excite me matte or glossy so I decided to keep it for my black-on-black French by applying a shiny top coat on just the tip. As with all metallics, daily reapplication of your favourite top coat is advised in order to prolong the life of your manicure.

meh. i bought all but one from this matte collection. i was very underwhelmed with all of them, to be honest. the formulas were pretty awful across the board, and the chipping was a major issue. the one good thing i can say about this polish is that it lasted the longest on my nails out of the others from the same collection. it is a very beautiful color.. even more so with a shiny top coat! the formula is not terrible with this color, but it will definitely chip on you within a day or two.
bottom line: color= 10/10…. formula= 6/10… wear= 3/10.
the decision is yours. btw- a top coat does not help extend the wear time.

I decided a long time ago that I don’t care much for matte polishes. I was drawn to this line, however, because of the beautiful colors and the description that these were somehow a different kind of matte. The previous/first reviewer described the color well. It is different from other mattes I have in that it has a satiny look. I bought it to specifically do a french mani using this as my main, base color, and Essie’s glossy cream, Midnight Cami, a deep dark blue, on the tips. It turned out interesting but I still don’t think that I’m a true fan of matte polishes.

This is from the Essie Cashmere collection that came out February 2015. This is black with a blue pearl sheen to it. This is a true matte polish. Good formula, not the best. 2 coats and its opaque but it can be fussy to even out.
It appears black in every light and only in bright light you can see the blue back ground faintly. These chip fairly quickly, within a day.
This looks best with a glossy top coat sadly, but its nice without.
