This is a $30 lip balm. That being said, I do really love this. It is orange scented, and has beautiful gold flakes in it. These do not really translate to the lip, but I enjoy the experience of getting out the little pot and applying it; its so pretty. I’ve been using this consistently since mid-October (3.5 months) and am about 3/4 of the way through the product. I make sure to reapply throughout the day, and I must say that this has done wonders with preventing and recovering from cold-weather induced chapped lips. When I apply it at night, my lips still feel protected and moisturized in the morning.
Since it is so expensive, I take extra care not to misplace or lose it, but it has actually motivated me to apply it everyday and stay on top of my lip care. I will definitely be repurchasing, its so good.

Offered with a set, a pot of clear citrus-scented gel with 24 karat gold leaf flakes. Very elegant and it does moisturize lips and leave a faint sheen. It’s pretty in your bag and kind of a cool pot of balm but on its own, I’d just pass it up for Carmex or Vaseline because lip balm is lip balm.

I highly recommend if you want to try the Tatcha Camellia Gold Spun Lip Balm that you purchase the Tatcha Skincare for Makeup Lovers Obento Box since it includes a full size lip balm as well as The Water Cream, The Violet C Mask, and a full size Luminous Dewy Skin Mist. The inclusion of gold in this lip balm is problematic since gold can be a skin irritant. That said, I am on to my second jar of this lip balm. Not all people people have metal allergies, but if you do this is one product to avoid.
