Zoya Carter is a pixiedust; it dries down to a matte, textured finish. It can be topcoated with Gelous or other thick top coats to smooth it out and really bring out the sparkles.
This particular one is my favorite of the pixiedusts; it’s a bright purple with hot pink/fuchsia sparkles. I absolutely love it and it’s very unique to my collection. It’s gorgeous!!!!
Since it is sheer and takes 2-3 coats to be opaque, I usually layer it over OPI Do you Have this Color in Stockholm, which is very close to the purple base. This also helps to prevent chipping.
I definitely will buy again when I run out.

Carter is a purple glitter, PixieDust (texture) polish. I am not a fan of texture polishes, but I saw a picture of Carter topcoated and it looked stunning so I decided to give it a go.
I applied 3 coats, then 1 coat of QDTC. This still didn’t look smooth so I applied another coat of the top coat. The number of coats made it look really thick. An hour later I went to bed (usual process for me). In the morning I woke up with dents and the polish pushed off the edge of the nail on a couple of nails. I re-paint my nails at least every other day, but I have never experienced this. The couple of nails that looked undamaged still looked slightly textured and could do with another coat of top coat. I am not sure if I should have waited until the polish was completely dried before I used the top coat or whether there were just too many coats.
I can’t say I will be rushing to repeat that experience any time soon. This polish looks nice gorgeous on pictures, but in real life it looks thick. It is too high maintenance for my liking.

Love Carter! It’s a texture that has purple glitter in a vampy (dark) purple base that makes said glitter pop. I have worn it both untopcoated and topcoated and love it both ways. And if you love Carter, try Waverly–similar concept. I believe this was 3 coats for me IIRC, so average.
