I am liking these one step gel polishes. The Lux Classics is a set of six classic fall/winter colours – red, black, purple, blue, green and magenta and they are such a nice group of classics that they can be worn all year around. They do have shimmery finishes, but even for cream finish lovers, these shimmers are timeless, colours that look good on all age groups. It’s a good starter pack for someone wanting to get into gel polishes and not knowing where to start – Available from Amazon and/or the MelodySusie website.
These are one step gels, no basecoat required, no topcoat required, you paint on a thin layer, set it in your UV LED light for 30 seconds and then apply extra coats as required. 2-3 coats provided a beautiful finish. No sticky residue, just set and go, perfect for the busy woman who wants a no fuss easy classic polish at home.
These wore really well on me. I usually change my normal polishes up every 2-3 days but these were still going strong after a week and I think i could have gone 10 days easy. Getting off was very much like removing a soak of gel polish – patience, soaking in acetone while watching tv, they are harder to remove than a normal polish, but they do last longer than a normal polish. These are gel polishes after all.
What can I say, someone looking for a good one-step gel polish kit with a nice basic range of colours suitable for winter or all year around, this is a great set. MelodySusie also sell a top and base coat, and I’ve used another brand of top and base coat to extend the life of the one step gels to a full two weeks before with no problems – something to consider.
