This was a pretty standard face cream for me – nothing particularly special, but it did a reasonable job of moisturising my skin at night. It’s meant for dehydrated, dry skin – neither of which I have – but I wonder how a good a job it would do if you DO have either of those. It moisturised my combination skin nicely without making it feel overloaded or greasy, but I wonder if it would be enough for skin suffering with dehydration and/or dryness? It has more of a gel-like consistency which in my experience, doesn’t tend to be as intensely hydrating as lotions and traditional creams. It’s cheap enough to risk giving it a try if you’re interested but I wouldn’t go out of my way to repurchase it.

Pros- This moisturizer has a very satisfying gel-cream consistency. It absorbs quickly and dries to a non-greasy finish. At $10 for a 1.7 oz jar, it’s decently affordable too.
Cons- The biggest one is that it stung my skin every time I used it. Also, for a sleeping cream, it’s surprisingly lightweight. Normal, combination, or oily skin types might like it, but it won’t do much for dry-skinned folks.
Summary- Ultimately, this wasn’t the worst moisturizer I’ve ever tried, but it did seem to irritate my skin, and its moisturizing properties left a lot to be desired.

I got this trying to find a substitute for a Clinique Moisture Surge gel (which has been reformulated, so I didn’t want to spend a pile on something that wouldn’t be the same), which I’d been using OVER moisturizer and UNDER foundation, so pretty much as a hydrating primer. Note I have very sensitive dry skin.
This is fragrance free/unscented, and to my nose, really no smell at all. Despite being called a cream, it’s a thick, non-sticky gel texture, and it sinks in quite well. I’m sure that this wouldn’t provide sufficient moisture for my dry, post-menopausal skin on its own; but at $10 it’s a great primer. For oilier/normal skin, it might just work well as a moisturizer. I haven’t had any issues with reactions or sensitivity, a big problem for me.
Note that I depot a small amount into a tiny jar with a clean spatula, to avoid the cons of jar packaging.
UPDATE SEPT 2018: Now that I’ve been using this as a face primer consistently for a few weeks, I like it even better and have upped my rating from 4 to 5 lippies. I can’t say how odd it is that this DOESN’T irritate my skin, which is notoriously finicky. But the best is that my makeup stays on all day, and doesn’t get that dried-out, cakey look after a few hours. It’s been working well with different foundations, including Neutrogena Hydrating Tint, CoverGirl AquaSmooth (cream compact), combo of Tarte Hybrid and Revlon ColorStay Whipped. This is the first “primer” I’ve felt it worth my while to use regularly.
