This is a simple, basic moisturizer. It’s overpriced because there are no anti aging benefits. It’s better for younger people with oily skin. I don’t like the tube. It continues to ooze out and wastes a lot of moisturizer. I had to stand it up against the bathroom mirror for it to stop coming out.

It’s fine. It is a moisturizer that I find to be lightweight and good in summertime or humid weather. It’s a nice light formulation but it is not going to change your life or your skin other than preventing dryness. It’s incredibly overpriced for what it is and there are far better options from Cerave, Paula’s Choice etc., for half the price.

I have been using Skinmedica’s Rejuvenative Moisturizer for a couple of years now. This spring I decided to try the Ultra Sheer Moisturizer (basically a lighter weight version of the Rejuvenative Moisturizer) for daytime. it absorbs into skin rather quickly and is good for layering underneath sunscreen. I still use the Rejuvenative Moisturizer at night or when I feel my skin is dry and in need of some tlc. These are really good quality moisturizers with excellent ingredients (including vitamin c and multiple forms of vitamin e).

The only reason I wouldn’t repurchase this product is because it is super expensive and I get free samples all the time at my job. I do think this is a very decent moisturizer for oily to normal skin, and if it cost say, $20 I would repurchase forever. I do love that it has antioxidants, but I wish it had at least some SPF in it. I do know that that would change the formula and it wouldn’t be so lightweight, but come on! A girl always needs a little protection. ( ;
EDIT:
I got a free, regular size tube of this from work as gratis, and I can’t say that it is perfect for me. I use Atralin, my Mia Clarisonic brush, Obagi Nu Derm products, and occasionally Duac when I’m having issues that need immediate attention, so I think adding Vitamin C, which I’ve always been interested in, was overkill. This burns my face, unfortunately. I really wanted this to work, but I believe I am sensitive to vitamin c. At least medical grade vitamin c. Bummer.

In early December of last year, my whole skincare regime changed after a visit to a dermatologist who recommended that I try SkinMedica products. I was having good results with Paula’s Choice, in that they were maintaining my skin, but they weren’t doing anything amazing for my skin. So I reluctantly handed over a lot of money and have been using SkinMedica for the last two months.
The Ultra Sheer Moisturizer was recommended to me as I was travelling through Mexico and Cuba, and wanted something that I could use despite the humid weather. At first I thought the moisturizer was breaking me out and was quick to dismiss the whole line as a waste of money, but I stuck with it for 3 weeks and suddenly everything changed. The moisturizer started absorbing into my skin, rather than coating the top and then I started to see those fine dehydration lines (around the eyes and in the naso. folds) really plump up from inside. The initial breakout quickly went away and I really enjoy using this product now (as I do all the SM products).
What was most impressive was that after being in humid weather for a month, I went to the snow for January and that was a shock for my skin! It was suddenly so dry. So I put a layer of Ultra Sheer on my skin straight after cleansing and then before it had dried, I locked it in with a quarter size amount of TNS Ceramide Treatment Cream. Within about 3 days, my skin was balanced and calm.
This isn’t a groundbreaking moisturizer or one that’s going to dispell your wrinkles, but it WILL hydrate your skin if you give it a chance. Mine took 3 weeks to adjust, but I’m so glad it did!

I’ve been using this moisturizer since June and I love it! It absorbs perfectly, and it doesn’t clump off or oxidize under my makeup. There’s hardly any scent and this hasn’t prompted any skin breakouts on my typically oily skin, nor did it contribute to any extra greasy or shine on my face. I always layer OC8 mattifier gel over any moisturizer I use, and it worked well with this moisturizer and under my SKII foundation.
My only complaint now is that it’s not moisturizing enough, since I started Accutane in September and have undergone a complete skin reversal from oily to dry.
Update 1/19/11: I still love this product, but I don’t use it much in favor of the heavier SkinMedica Ceramide Treatment Cream that paired up greatly to help my dry skin during Accutane. I will likely resume using this in the upcoming summer and pair up the Ceramide Treatment Cream when doing my twice weekly night applications of Retina .025%

I’m on the fence about this product only b/c I have oily/ acne prone skin. This was given to me by my skin spa for summertime use only. While I do like how light it is, I think I get way to oily even for this ‘light’ moisturizer. I apply to neck and chest and it’s fine. I would like to try an even lighter moisturizer than this. It cost me 30.00 usd and that wasn’t too expensive but I will keep it till I find something I like.

The name is quite misleading. IMO, this is not a sheer moisturizer at all. It is heavy and doesn’t sink into the skin… just coats it and does not absorb. It actually feels waxy and makes your skin immediately shiny. As the day goes on, it sinks into every pore. You are better off buying Olay Complete Sensitive Skin Lotion because they are comparable in quality. Actually, at least Olay sinks into the skin even though the shine’s still there.

This is one of my favorite moisturizers for dry skin. It sinks in right away without leaving any film behind. It doesn’t clog my pores & make up goes on smooth with it. The only drawback that I hate is, they don’t have a SPF in this. This could qualify as a HG moisturizer if it had the right amount of SPF.
