This recently saved me when my face was going through a very sensitive and dry phase due to over-cleansing. It is soothing and perfect for my acne-prone but dry winter skin. However my skin was still peeling and I had to use a serum underneath to get rid of them.

lovely moisturizer for dry skin! enriched with glycerin it keep the skin moist and comfy for hours. i have skin sensitive to various ingredients and have found that this product does not break me out. it has a pleasant fragrance – typical for all la roche posay products. i was a bit worried when i saw the alcohol denat as an ingredients but I personally haven’t experienced any dryness from it whatsoever! overall – acceptable price, very moisturising, gives the skin a feeling of instant relief, does not make your face oily during day or night, good in combination with la roche posay effaclar duo, good for sensitive skin! i give it 4/5 just because of that pesky alcohol denat. 🙂

There are two moisturizers under the Hydréane line namely the Riche and the Legère. I first used the sample size of the light version and I fell in love with it. I planned on buying the full size but my SDM only had the heavier version so I picked that one. Since I have oily-combination skin, that probably was a bad idea. Although it’s very moisturizing and the smell is not too offensive, I had to stop using it since it was clogging my pores and causing breakouts. I’m guessing it’s the petrolatum in it along with the shea butter. I still have 1/2 of the tube left and I use it around my eyes and it’s perfect as an “eye cream”. I would recommend this to people who have dry skin but definitely not for us oily skin people.
