I have normal to dry skin and this is a nice product, it’s not to greasy and sinks in easily, keeps my skin moiststurized and looks good underneath make-up. But I give this 3 lippies because of the scent, this cream is heavily fragranced, and I don’t find that necessary in skincare. The scent is fresh but not so pleasant because it’s to much. I would actually repurchased this again if they would change the scent or made it fragrance free.

Have bought about 4 jars of this cream. Absolutely love it. It’s very hydrating, smells delicious and my skin soaks it up. My skin looks more hydrated and clearer when I use it. The only thing is I use it night and day so therefore I go through a jar within about 4 months – so it’s pretty costly. I often will try something else but then start noticing my skin doesn’t look as perky so I always repurchase. This is a lovely luxurious cream. Think it hydrates but don’t think there’s any anti-aging benefits

I have been using the Chanel Hydra Beauty Nutrition Cream for 2 months now and I ABSOLUTELY love it.
About 7 months ago I moved to Germany and I felt the drier climate was affecting my skin. I have never had dry skin before so at first I was not sure how to treat it; was it really the move or is my skin changing? I tried drug store moisturizers through to high end products like from La Prairie – nothing seemed to work. I also changed my diet by incorporating more naturally fatty foods like salmon and avocado – it helped but not with the dryness.
I did a lot of research in to dehydrated vs dry skin and I came across an article on Caroline Hirons blog and I found my answers. Her advice was to upgrade my moisturizer that uses the words ‘nourishing’ and is labelled with ‘hydra’ or ‘hydrating’. Of course I also followed other advice like switching my cleanser to nothing foamy amongst others.
Anyway, off I went in search of my saviour. I almost gave up until I came across Chanel. The little white jar with its black lid had all the words I was looking for – the Hydra Beauty Nutrition cream. When I tried a small tester on my hand I noticed the strong but nice floral scent. Did I really want this smell when going to bed? After a few weeks I went back to try it again on my hand and eventhough I absolutely loved the texture I was still unsure about the scent. On my third visit I finally took the leap and bought a jar and I have absolutely no regrets. Why?
1. It does what it promises. It hydrates, it nourishes and it lasts the whole day without ever making me oily.
2. NO break outs
3. When applied to face the scent is not strong at all (to my huge surprise! I go to bed without the constant smell on my skin)
4. My skin in the morning looks lovely – it looks fresh and hydrated, my skin tone is even without any red patches. Without sounding weird but my skin looks ‘happy’.
5. I can use it day and night, whenever I need it
6. it does not leave a film strip (but be sure to only use what you really need)
Yes, this cream does not have any anti-aging properties or SPF but that’s not what I was looking for. I wanted a cream to battle my dry and grey skin and that’s exactly what this does. Every time I get the chance to put on the cream it is such a delight, it’s comforting, it’s luxurious and I cannot imagine ever living without the cream.
As for the price of 63€, I have paid far more for products that actually did not work at all! So I am more than willing to spend this amount on something that works for me. (In my second month I am halfway through the 100g jar.)
Needless to say: I can’t wait to repurchase again!
