I had bought some TBS muslin cloths a few years ago. They were double layered, soft, and sturdy with a fairly close weave. So when I wanted to try the oil cleaning method a few weeks ago, I decided I wanted a few more of the same. They seemed a bit expensive, but I knew they were good quality, and I was able to order some on sale. I was so disappointed when they arrived! Obviously, TBS has changed the product because what I got was a single layer and rough. They were less like cloths and more like netting. I returned them all, which was more of a hassle than I expected because it took two sales reps over 10 minutes to process the return in a store where I was the only customer — they didn’t know how to do it.

This is actually my favorite cloth out of the many I’ve tried. I do not use it to remove makeup; only in the morning with warm water. It has more texture than the others I used which is what I prefer.

I found this cloth to be too thin and flimsy to adequately remove my cream cleanser. It was also quite expensive when compared to the microfiber cloths that I buy in bulk.
I found that any makeup I did remove would soak through to the other side of this cloth (whereas on a microfiber cloth the thickness means that you can use both sides) so limiting how much I could use it.
I only use this now when I have no clean microfiber cloths, and I wouldn’t buy this again.

This is the first muslin cleansing cloth I’ve ever used so I can’t compare it to any others but I do like The Body Shop’s version so I’m giving it five lipsticks.
Now that I’m in my 40s, I need to exfoliate my skin much more regularly otherwise my skin does start to look dull and tired.
This cloth is gentle and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. (I have rosacea) It’s also great for removing makeup. I use La Roche Posay’s Toleraine cleanser and massage it onto my skin and take the muslin cloth and use a gentle sweeping motion as I wash my face.
My makeup comes off and my skin feels nice and clean. I like to get a new cloth after a few months of use and they’re not badly priced at $4 each. The Body Shop always has sales so you can stock up on the cloths.

This muslin cloth is terrible! Luckily I bought mine on sale, otherwise I’d be quite disappointed. It’s quite small and very thin. I have another muslin cloth by Kosmea which is a million times better than this.
Don’t waste your money on this. A $2 flannel from K-mart or Target will work much better than this Body Shop Muslin Cloth.

The Body Shop Muslin Cloths are the first cleansing cloths I have tried, so I cannot compare. But for now they work like a charm.
I use them together with the Aloe Vera Gentle Cleanser, a perfect combination.
At first I was scared to use exfoliating cleansing cloths, but they are so gentle and remove the dead skin and the hard sebum of my pores.

I’m always looking for ways to gently but effectively exfoliate my skin and came across these muslin cloths. Now, to me, they remind me very much of cloth napkins. Thin, flimsy and generally overpriced for what they are: two layers of muslin fabric. But at the same time, they do work wonderfully to gently exfoliate and remove grime from the face, and so they do get a four because they do work but I do wish they were a bit heavier so they did not bunch up so when washing.
Edited to add: If you have the Liz Earle cloths, these are smaller and softer. More like a cotton t-shirt transformed into a washcloth. Very gentle on the skin, but also not as effective at exfoliating.
