I received this mask as a sample at Mecca and tried it out 5 minutes ago. I followed the instructions and out it on and within less than a minute I had to gently take it off. My face was bright red, tight and burning. Do not recommend this at all, no product should do that to your skin.

I almost never see real benefits from skin care products (other than they serve as good moisturizers). This was different. Not only did I see and feel results right away, I could still feel them days later. This appears to be a combination of physical and chemical exfoliants. It has small abrasives that you massage into the skin for 60 seconds. I suppose this loosens the top skin layer. Then you leave it on for another ten minutes and rinse off. It leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and smooth. I can see where this mask might not be for people with sensitive skin because of all the exfoliants. But if your skin can tolerate it, it’s a very effective mask. I already repurchased it.

Summer Fridays, known for their Jet Lag Mask, recently released their new Overtime Mask. The Jet Lag Mask was very close to being a mask that I would have used and recommended to others so I had to see if the Overtime Mask would be a little closer to what I look for in skincare masks. This was a bummer because the Overtime Mask was even further away from being something that I would love. I have dry and sensitive skin and this was just too much for my skin. This has a lot of fragrance ingredients, which do smell good to me, smells like pumpkin pie. While my nose enjoyed the scent, my skin did not. This also contains natural abrasives which felt good on, but once I rinsed it off my skin did not appreciate how rough it was. And the third strike for me, this does contain some potential acne causing ingredients. I almost never breakout from anything, but this mask did result in a small breakout, which thankfully didn’t last too long. Unfortunately, the Summer Fridays Overtime Mask is a definite pass and I cannot recommend it to others for the reasons above. My video review can be seen here: 8
