A very light gel that is pleasant in texture and fragrance (fragranced products don’t bother me and it faded fairly quickly) however this did nothing for my n/d skin. It felt nice smoothing on and absorbed quickly but i would have been better off with anything else, even hand cream, on my face. I am just as dry as i started off last night. And to be honest, I am going through a slightly dryer spell. Thankfully this was a sample.

This is skincare garbage! Sad to see Shiseido signing such product, used to respect the brand. There is no real benefit in this, just made to feel pleasant.

Heavily fragranced, contains microplastic, is full of PEGs, BHT and… TALC??? It has too many irritants and there are many more cleaner sleeping masks in lower price range. Shiseido was my first skincare and I have a soft spot for it, but despite my love and loyalty to the company, I think I have to look elsewhere especially since the company seems to still use very harmful chemicals and is not cruelty-free.

For me this was a loser on all counts. Heavily fragranced, which irritated my skin. It’s gel-like and not very moisturizing, and left my skin distinctly dry by morning. The jar container won’t preserve ingredients and will help germs to grow. It’s expensive for the price. It’s tested on animals. If you have oilier skin that isn’t sensitive to fragrance, this might be okay, but that’s the only demographic I think this could conceivably work for.

Recently got a sample of this from Influenster and was floored by this product!
It did everything it claimed and gave my skin the look of 8 solid hours of sleep (i only got 5)
Its light and gel like texture is easily absorbed and doesnt feel tacky.
It also reduced all the redness on my face.

I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and I actually do not understand what this product does. I use it faithfully every night and in the morning the only thing I notice is- super dry skin. This product is not moisturizing at all and the scent is very loud and awful. I will use it up over the next 6 months, but this is not a repurchase for me.

My favourite night moisturizer of all times! I can actually see a difference in my skin when I wake up in the morning. My skin is softer, more awake, scars look lighter.. my skin just looks overall healthier. The only con is that the jar does not contain a lot of product so it is on the pricier end. Smells great too!

I owe a big thanks to all the previous reviewers for tipping me off to this great night time treatment product from Shiseido. I’ve tried several “sleeping masks”, some of which I’ve found disappointing (Clinique, Estee Edit) and some of which I’ve loved (a Sephora one that is being discontinued, unfortunately, one from Fresh, and now this one). I’ve used the Ibuki sleeping mask twice and can’t believe the great results I see in the morning – my skin looks SO refreshed and plumped (rather than dull, grey and squished!) that I could basically slap on some concealer and lip colour and head right out the door. I am almost loathe to wash this off in the morning.
Consistency is a bit weird – it’s sort of a glue-y, bouncy gel with white flecks in it so it’s good that this is packaged with a spatula because I don’t think you’d be able to pick any of the product up just using your fingers because of the bouncy gel nature of the mask. The first time I used this, I picked up way too much and ended up smoothing it right down my neck and onto my chest/decolletage. So you don’t need much of this to get great results. If feels so cooling and has a beautiful, herbal/floral scent that the insert says is relaxing and will help you fall asleep (yeah, right!….but it IS a pleasant scent). There is nothing irritating about this product – I’ve had no redness, irritation or spots from using it. It sells for $48 in Canada and that gets you a decent sized jar. I wouldn’t hesitate to repurchase this and actually really look forward to bed-time so I can use this, though I do apply it about 15 minutes before hitting the hay, so it can set and sink in and lose its sticky feel (which might come from me having used too much product but which goes away within 5 to 10 minutes in any case).

I’m addicted to this mask. One sample and I was hooked! It leaves my skin so hydrated and soft in the morning. I don’t love that I have to scoop it out with a spatula, so that would be my only complaint. Otherwise, I love the fragrance, the way it applies and the overall effect.

It is marketed as an overnight mask, however I use this in the evenings when I’m home and I let it do its job for 4-5 hours. I don’t use it as overnight as recommended, beacuse I don’t like the sensation of things getting around soaking my pilow and – worse – in my eyes – during my sleep.
This is a high performing leave on gel mask infused with vitamin C and E, phytoplankton extract.
It is super gentle; I use it even around my eyes and it is so nice that my eyes love it (no burning sensation, no stinging like I can get with other masks).
What you get: a refreshed, rested, and radiant look after application. Smells divine!!!
Soaks in quickly, no breakouts, decent price ( yes, it is not cheap but you get a 80ml jar – beautiful jar by the way – and it lasts for months).
A winner in my book!
