This is my first sleeping mask and I really like it. I got it in a sample pack from Sephora. Originally I was annoyed there was no way to seal it after it was opened, but apparently it’s supposed to be a one time use. Honestly, I think there is way too much product for one use, but maybe I am not using enough. I have already used it 4 times and have enough left for one more application. The scent is nice and my skin is super soft and plump when I wake up in the morning.
I honestly would not pay $6 for one application, but since I can get several uses out it, I would definitely buy this again.

Overall, the Sephora sleeping masks are a great skincare buy, primarily because of their fantastic price point – only $4 each! Each mask is single-use, so its easy to stock up on multiple varieties in a single shopping trip. The packaging is clean and simple, with the mask formula itself contained in a little “pod” with a peel-off top, set within a small cardboard package that features easy instructions and little else. The use of the masks is also simple and straightforward: simply wash your face for the evening, and in lieu of your nighttime moisturizer/serum/whatever, put the mask on your face and neck instead! It did take a little longer than my usual skincare oil to dry, but otherwise I noticed no difference in how my face felt when I went to sleep. In the morning I washed my face as usual, and did not have any unusual residue or undried spots prior to cleansing.
Now, onto specifics about the Ginseng mask. This formula is touted as “firming and toning”, and I would say that it definitely delivers on the toning portion of that claim. I have oily-to-normal skin that is not prone to excessive splotchiness or redness, however I would not claim that my skin has totally even tone; for example, I use a BB cream at the minimum everyday to even myself out. In the morning prior to cleansing my face I noticed that my skin tone did look more even, and I had minimal redness around a healing blemish (unusual for me). The improved tone lasted all day. I find it hard to quantify whether or not the mask made my skin “firmer”, but I was happy with the toning results regardless. I will definitely be throwing this mask into my basket at Sephora regularly to use as needed when my skin could use some evening out!
