Per the review below, I’ve been using it every day because I’ve been sooo tired of my KP and bumpy thighs… Slowly but surely, it’s getting rid of everything! My skin is kinda dry but that’s my fault. Once everything is smooth to my liking, I think I’ll go to every other day and then finally once a week.

It was tough to pull the trigger on this one (…$52 for something technically ~unecessary~) but it has been a gamechanger. I have olive skin that gives me the gift of hyperpigmentation with any little thing it deems traumatic, like say, a SLIGHT scratch or a TINY pimple. Oh, and I can grow some hair. On my head, on my body, you name it. I shave it off, which always gives me ingrowns, which always leave marks. On top of that, my skin is a sensitive little baby B so nearly anything I put on my (head) hair is liable to give me neck, back, and chest acne.
It is annoying. Over the years I have skirted any major issues by not shaving as much as I want to and not making my hair as awesome as it should be. And I’m into shorts now. I have avoided shorts my whole life and I wanna wear them EVERY DAY now.
Thank you for reading my personal history of hirsuteness etc. Anyway, I nabbed this during a 30% off sale which made the price much more palatable. I’ve been using it for about a week. You’re not supposed to use it the way I do though. I have applied it nearly every day since it arrived in the mail, and I haven’t been washing it off. I KNOW. But, as annoying as my skin can be (see above), it loves chemical exfoliation and I haven’t had any negative reactions.
It has a serum-y, gel-like consistency and smells like a chemical exfoliator. You can smooth it on like a gel lotion, and it spreads easily, making the whole application process a lot easier than I assumed it would be. I’ve been applying to my back/shoulders (zit aftereffects), inner thighs (shaving tragedies), back of thighs (KP?), chest (who knows). (I am making myself sound gross, I’m not lol. All these things just really needed improvement.) And seriously, all these areas look MUCH MUCH better. Especially the inner thighs (and by inner thigh I mean legit inner thigh but also the entire “bikini” area) and back/shoulders. Lots of fading of past marks plus general smoothing and a new glowiness.
Encouraged, I started putting it on my arms, legs, boobs—even my armpits lmao. I went a little 5 acid crazy tbh. It’s so good though! Everything is much smoother, super soft, and looks a lot nicer. I even applied (sparingly) to my neck, which is insanely reactive to hair products, and while that area did get a little red it helped heal an active blemish and faded old spots. And this is all in about a week. I’m looking forward to how good it gets in a couple months. (Don’t worry, I’m going to slow down the amount and frequency of application.)
So, it has been a gamechanger because now I look better naked and I can use cool stuff on my hair. It has added a whole layer of skin freedom I didn’t have before.
Patch test please. Moisturize a ton afterwards. Sunscreen on exposed treated areas. Especially good for any areas susceptible to ingrows and for skin prone to hyperpigmentation. But also worth it if you just want smoother, amazing skin.
Now, if only upstate NY winter would gtfo so I can wear all the shorts!

I hate how expensive it is, but it works. I use this on my entire body after a soak, about once a week. I leave it on for 20 minutes. My skin is very noticeably smoother! No more tiny bumps on my upper thighs or upper arms. Worth the money entirely. Smells a bit like buttered popcorn, tingles in an itchy way, burns if it gets in a cut, but that’s acid for you.

Holy crap this stuff has gotten expensive. If it wasn’t over $50 a bottle, I would order it regularly, because it really does make the skin on my body softer and more even. Fair warning, it does not smell good and it does sting a little bit (that would be the acids). You can’t smell it after you wash it off though. I like to spread on a thin layer right after getting out of the shower, and often deep condition my hair at the same time, then hop back in the shower to rinse everything off. Make sure to moisturize well afterwards.

This product is the following
20% Lactic Acid
5% Glycolic Acid
5% Mandelic Acid
2% Citric Acid
1% Salicylic Acid
It is sticky due to the Lactic Acid. It deposits aha, bha in one step. I like this product a lot. I use much higher strengths of most of the acids on my face so I knew that I would be fine with this. I also knew from years of experience that I do not need to wash off any of those acids as they are relatively mild and if I use only 1 a week will not peel (two or three no promises). If you’re interested you should first test on your arm and test your level.
I will say that most daily glycolic body products that I have use are higher at 10% and Salicylic 2%. But I have never seen lactic acid and mandelic in body products of this quantity (8 oz) and those two ingredients are the real reason I go out of my way for this product. It is also one of the only peels I can find for your entire body. I have used this on my face, as many of these peels I use separately on my face in higher concentrations 40, 10, 25, none and 5. With all 5 acids together it is still a mild peel not as bad as say my 15% tca, my 40 lactic, my 8 salciyic but not as relatively peaceful with no dry period as my mandelic. I won’t recommend it officially because it wasn’t designed for the face but something to consider, if you buy all those acids separately like I do.
I am mixed and can hyperpigment easily. I have never had that problem with this peel.

Bought the trial size, had a slight issue with the shipment and MUA handled it immediately!!! I was very impressed with the level of customer service provided. The peel is freaking amazing!!!! I suffer form a condition called Ichthyosis Vulgaris and will try anything that I feel will help my skin peel. This did the trick and even though it’s a bit pricey I will purchase a full size bottle in the near future.

This body peel is top notch and takes exfoliating to another level. No amount of exfoliating or apricot scrubs can get your body as smooth and soft as this body peel. No stinging. No noticeable flaking after. Just baby soft skin. Just apply all over and wait 5-10 min (I usually do a face mask while waiting) and hop in the shower and rinse. Try the MUAC glycolic body lotion after!

I have only tried this product once and the results were pretty good. I just don’t love the idea of showering, drying off and applying the products and then having to get wet all over again. It’s not something I can see myself doing once a week. AmLactin has made my skin pretty soft and supple. I think I will continue to use that as it has exfoliating properties and I don’t have to do the added step of rinsing the product off.

I’ve bought the 5 Acid Body Peel about a month ago from Makeup Artist’s Choice (MUAC). It took me 4 peels (spaced a week apart) to see results. My skin is less crepe-like but there’s still plenty of room for improvement. A lot of patience is required since this is a superficial peel, which is a slow and steady option with zero downtime.

Mah god, this peel is insanely good. I have baby-butt soft skin after using this over my arms, back, legs. Feels like my skin is ten years younger. Pores are smaller, scars have faded, very good with keratosis pilaris. Used it on some very stubborn callouses on my hands (thanks lifting!) and they’re down a whole lot after this. I would use this on my face if I could. I love that it’s thicker in consistency than most peels, and no burning sensation during or after the peel at all. It’s perfect.
