   ETA- sadly, this is going to be returned. After just 2 days of wear, each time Ive wore it, I get a few new pimples either the next day or right after washing. I do have reactive skin, so I normally know right away (just like this) if something doesnt work with my skin.

   Just goes to show, you cant tell if something will work until you try it. It still is a nice fdtn.

   This is my first impressions review and I will update if my experience changes, but this is a lovely foundation! I was debating on buying this for a few months at my local Ulta, after being able to sample the shades in-store. Definitely recommend going to a store to swatch. I’m NC 15/20, very warm, and 150 warm was perfect. It swatched identical to NARS Gobi, which is a tad too light but works with my melasma. I dont have active acne to cover, just blotchy uneven skin tone, so I was looking for something I could sheer out to even my skin. I also have reactive skin, this has decent ingredients, and no scent. I have combo skin, dry in some spots and oily in others.

   The formula is very creamy, and of the few reviews I’ve seen for this product, a little goes a long way and most folks go in with too much from the start. Im trying it right now without a primer, and it seems to blur my larger pores well, but not completely. It doesnt emphasize them, either, which is why Im ok with how it looks without a primer. No polkadot pores. I dont see it oxidizing but it does dry down a little darker on the swatch but nothing unnatural.

   I applied very small pumps to the back of my hand, then blotted on my skin in sections and used a damp sponge to blend into my skin/pores and it looks very natural. It doesnt cause flakes and wasnt patchy. It didnt come off as I was applying, and it dries to a satin, somewhat powdery (if you blot) finish. I love it. It looks natural enough that my bf commented on my skin!! It really evens out your skin tone nicely.

   The pump and bottle are nice, and the formula seems nourishing. The only reason I waited so long to try, other than price, was this contains a little alcohol, but its at the very bottom of the ingredients, so I dont notice it at all (unlike Loreal Fresh Wear and UD Stay Naked). This also has the most non-comedogenic ingredients than other fdtns.. so I’m really happy to have took a chance with this product.

   ETA- this does not claim to control oils, and I find I get glowy after a few hours wearing this, but keep in mind, I am not using a primer (which would help) and I did not set with powder, since it was a first try. But it still looked really nice and fresh. It is also not full coverage for me, since I am applying very little and with a sponge. You may have more coverage using a brush, or just more product in general. It also removes easily, and washed out of my sponge quickly, which are positive traits for me. My skin felt soft after removing this.

   Smith & Cult is now available at Ulta, so on my recent visit I had to check out their products.  I’ve tried many of their other products and have been pleasantly surprised.  Their Veiled Threat Weightless Micro-Blurring Foundation was also a nice surprise.  This foundation is easy to apply, layers well, and is highly pigmented.  

   What made me most happy about the Veiled Threat Weightless Micro-Blurring Foundation is that this foundation comes in 42 shades!!  Shade 180 Cool was a very good match for me, I think this will work all year long despite whether or not I’m using self-tanner.  I found applying it with a damp Beauty Blender sponge was the easiest way to apply it and sheer it out a little.  This is what I consider a full coverage foundation, and it really reminded me of the BareMinerals BarePro Foundation.  

   The SMITH & CULT Veiled Threat Weightless Micro-Blurring Foundation has impressive lasting power.  This lasts me through the day without looking greasy OR without highlighting dry, flaky areas.  If you have dry skin I do recommend using a hydrating primer under the foundation.  One that has worked well for me is the Marc Jacobs Coconut Undercover Primer.  

   Veiled Threat Weightless Micro-Blurring Foundation has no scent which is nice.  This does have a small of amount of denatured alcohol in it, however, it isn’t high up on the ingredient list, so this isn’t too much of an issue unless you have sensitive skin.  I wish that Smith & Cult would have considered including a few more beneficial ingredients.  As long as you have a good morning routine that also isn’t a huge issue.  My video review can be seen here: 0
