The only foundation that actually suits my dry-combination skin. It really is lightweight and sheer coverage, hence it can be easily buildable. I wear it to work as well as glam occasions. It is very hydrating and doesn’t make ur face cakey if you have moisturized and prepped your face properly.
I’m not sure if it’s suitable for oily skinned people though.
I definitely recommend it to all my girlfriends who are looking for an everyday foundation.

I was so disappointed with this foundation. For a high end foundation it felt like the quality was lacking. Firstly, the foundation is very runny and when you apply the product seems to disappear. Like as though there is no product on your skin. Secondly, it leaves a tacky texture as it just sits on the surface and made my skin look greasy, even with setting powder and setting spray applied. Thirdly, the coverage looks non-existent. The only positive I have for this poor purchase was that the shade match(Y420) was pretty good. Luckily I didn’t pay full price for it but I will have to return it as it did not work on me or for me.

I had seen some fairly negative online reviews for this product but bought it anyway because it was half off on Sephora. The best thing about it is the shade. I got the fair shade for skin with pink undertones. Often foundations for my pale skin are too light or have either too much yellow or too much pink. This one was a perfect match. However, I have numerous issues with the formula. It is tricky to apply as it dries very fast. I tried it the first time without a primer over lotion and it immediately separated and clung to areas and sank into pores and was unblendable. The next time I applied it over a silicone primer and did multiple small areas of my face. It worked better that way but only on areas of my face where my skin is perfect. It looked good on cheeks and forehead but it still looked a bit odd on the nose where my pores are and since it tends to cling and not blend it really is terrible for covering any acne. It is also more difficult to apply concealer over it to spots it doesn’t hide. I have a small rash on my face right now and it looked caky and weird in that area too (more than other foundations). I also find the foundation looks more like visible makeup everywhere. I generally use the Chanel Aqua foundation which is very natural and then apply concealer to spots it didn’t hide so I’m used to a natural finish. This clings to any peach fuzz and spots and just looks more textured overall. It is also more difficult to blend cream products like bronzer and blush over (though I managed). It did appear to last a good while but overall not a fan.

I am loving this foundation. Perfect color match for medium skin. Does not age skin, stays on
Sheer, flawless and not drying or oily. I have normal to dry mature skin. I use Smashbox Primer Oil and Marc Jacobs Coconut Setting Mist. FOR comparison, my favorite foundations are this Shameless and EL DW Cushion Stick. Favorite Tinted Sunscreens are Drunk Elephant and Josie Maran. Highly Recommend!

I thought “Great! Foundation with physical ss and medium, natural looking coverage that seems to work for people with combo skin! I’ll try it!” Wrong. I realized after wearing it one day that this makes my face terribly uncomfortably dry and irritated. Maybe it’s the alcohol, which is the sixth ingredient? Returning this faster than you can say Sephora. Miserable. It also appears to break up on my nose and cheeks after a few hours wear in 90F weather, without touch up, which isn’t unforgivable since I could powder again. On the other hand, there are many foundations that easily go 8 or more hours without the powder touch up in this weather, so at this price, and with this much irritation, why would I even bother? To its credit, nice shade selection so maybe if you have super resilient skin this could work? I just doubt many people can hold up to alcohol on facial skin like this. It went on well with the primer, which is very hydrating and slippy. I’d say the primer helps the foundation spread and gives it more workability with a beauty blender or sponge, as it seems to dry down relatively quickly otherwise (probably the alcohol, huh?) I do like the packaging, and found that this product oxidized at least one shade on my skin.

*sigh*. I reeeeeally wanted to love this foundation, especially after all the reviews, but it is just not meant to be. Here are the pros: It has gorgeous, natural coverage. My skin looked silky and flawless right after application. It has a great range of shades. I love the squeeze bottle. The con: if you have super oily skin, like me, you will be an oil slick by afternoon. And no amount of blotting or powder will help. This does not control oil production or shine, and even after mid-afternoon blotting and powder, the shine keeps coming through. I’m really sad, because I loved the natural finish in the morning, but by afternoon, I was waaaay too shiny. And please note, when I put it on in the morning, I first applied an oil-control primer underneath, and then a makeup setting spray after. And even that didn’t help keep the shine at bay. I’m really sad. I will have to go back to my Estee Lauder Double Wear, which is great for shine control, but it full-coverage, and less natural looking.

EDIT: I only get beautiful skinlike results when layered over the pricey Marc Jacobs coconut primer. With other brands of primers, it highlights texture. Giving me polka dot pores, highlighting fine lines and dry cakeyness. One lippy off for only working with an $80 primer.
Light coverage, ultra natural, undetectable skin-like effect. Just powdered semi-matte finish. Ideal for combo or slightly oily skin like mine (not dry) for a your-skin-but-better look, like you could almost have no makeup on at all. Sets well and does not transfer or wear off. Can cake a little if you don’t move fast, so apply one section at a time and do a check in the mirror to smooth out any built up bits before it sets. I have large pores on the nose, light lines on the forehead and eyes, and it doesn’t highlight or settle in these at all.
Oxidises a tiny bit. Wears well for 8 hours on me then I get a shiny nose and need to blot or touch up. Bottle is a compact squeezy tube that doesn’t take up much room in the makeup bag.
I use it when my skin is fairly smooth and get great results but on days I have any dry patches I use another foundation. If you have any dry patches or dry skin it will cake up and it is hard to avoid. If you like medium to full coverage, you’re probably not going to like it either. If you have somewhat oily skin and want a undetectable natural look it could be for you. This one gets the hubby’s seal of approval. He doesn’t like to see any foundation at all (a clay manniquin mask he says of even medium coverage!), and when I wear this he says he can’t tell I’m wearing anything at all 🙂

I bought it at sephora, I thought I got the color right, but this turned pretty orange fast..then the texture is like invisible, like my skin doesn’t look better, it is like I just have a hint of color, nothing more..no hydration, no healthy glow…i didn’t like it at all, and it went back the next day..only if you have normal to combination skin, no imperfections, or if you are 16 maybe !? and choose a shade lighter..major flop in my opinion, considering it isn’t cheap..why create such a lousy product I wonder !?

This foundation gets so many polarizing reviews I wasn’t sure it’s worth getting a sample. But I love MJB products and none of them was a total disappointment so I decided to give it a try. There was also another reason: shade Y110 seemed like an almost perfect match for my fair yellow toned skin (NC10 depth). I hoped it will be a “dupe” for Nars Sheer Glow in Siberia but contrary to SG it won’t break me out and the formula will be better.
And I wasn’t disappointed! I already own full size.
My skin: normal to combo, it can get oily during the day. No major discolorations. I’m open to all sorts of coverage, but usually prefer light since I don’t have a lot to hide. As for finish, I’m a matte/ satin matte fan. I hate the feeling of super dewy foundations since I wear bangs and have mid-length hair, that can stick to my face if I don’t set my base.
Finish: very natural, skin like. Not totally matte but not dewy either. Perfect in-between. I still set it with powder but I could skip it if I wanted to.
Formula: pretty liquidy. Doesn’t settle into fine lines on my forehead, which is a big plus.
Coverage: this is where trouble may occur. For those who prefer high coverage. The coverage is medium at best. You’d have to use a lot of product to achieve medium full/full coverage. I’m okay with just one layer, yet I’m afraid I’ll run out of this product relatively fast.
Shade: it’s the closest shade match I’ve found among foundations that don’t make me break out. It’s similar to Siberia but instead of being cool yellow shade it leans warmer, which I love. Blends into my skin seamlessly.
Lasting power: it’s nearly not as bad as I thought after reading some reviews. It only wears off from my nose slightly after 10 or so hours (just like almost all foundations I’ve ever tried- with the exception of EL Double Wear which is, as we all know, bulletproof).
Overall it’s a solid 4+ foundation, and I’ll surely repurchase because it is nearly impossible to find yellow toned NC10-ish foundation with decent formula that won’t make me break out. I’ve found one, and I’ll stick to it, along with my NYX foundations.

So I decided to try this because I liked the advertised dewy-ness and sheer coverage, I liked the yellow undertones in the shades, and I liked the modern packaging.
I wore the foundation on part of my face, and compared it to the performance of my usual foundation worn on another part of my face. I found the Shameless foundation was a luminous colour at first, due to the vibrant yellow under tones, however overall it underperformed against my usual foundation (Armani Luminous Silk) because 1) on application it got a little caught in my pores 2) after 8 hours wear it had separated much more noticeably than my usual foundation 3) after around 6 hours it started to tingle in the area applied, which is often the first sign of a breakout, and I did get one fairly harmless broad bump in area of application start to appear at around 6 hours, and 4) at application it’s slightly tacky so felt a little mask like – I’d hoped for something ligher, more like BB cream, and finally 5) on reflection not sure about the yellow undertones as they can look a little amateur make-up artist like, a more subtle colour may be a little more natural and elegant.
Love the packaging and concept, but unfortunately for my skin it was perhaps not a fit.
Next day update: around 3-5 little spots.
