   Medium is a good match for me (AAB/NC25). I dot it on and then blend either with fingertips or a brush. The formula texture is easy to work with, not too thick. Dries down nicely to a skin-like finish. The doe foot applicator is taking some getting used to but I am liking the concept (like UDPP, you don’t have to use the wand, you can still squeeze from the tube instead). It does get messier over time if you stand it up on the cap – better to store this one upside down.

   My coloring: NC20, BB warm sand, Chanel B20, Chantecaille Vanilla, Bare Minerals Complexion Wheat, Clinique EB Stone. My current skin conditions are rosacea and dry skin with some flaking around the mouth.

   I bought the color light medium and it’s a good match.

   Application: Used a BB and this went onto my dry skin very heavy and clung to every flake and emphasized every acne scar. I also have some Chicken Pox scars. I tried with my fingers and it was ok. I am not a foundation brush person so didn’t try that way.

   Result: It would be great if your skin is flawless. Full Coverage. Matte to satin–starts out matte then turns to satin. Did not oxidize. Faded ever so slightly. Transferred onto my shirt collar. Felt dewy to the touch. Did not work all that well on my slightly oily nose: disappeared. Did not powder it. I have dry skin right now so don’t want the powder.

   Packaging: The deciding factor for me to return this was the doe foot. I can get onboard with a doe foot in a bottle but in the tube, it splattered all over my shirt. Went to fill doe foot again and again the splatter. My shirt Is history.

   Overall this left my skin feeling very itchy. That coupled with the packaging swayed my decision to return.

   I really liked this. The applicator is a big stick and I didn’t think I’d like it but I just used a brush to work it in. I tried light medium and it came off a little yellow at first but settled into a natural look. It lasted long too. My only issue is it make my skin oily after a couple hours so blotting is a must for me (i have oily skin)

   This is a medium coverage natural to satin finish foundation. It’s in tube packaging with a doe foot wand. It’s a little tight getting the wand in and out of the tube and I’d be curious to see how it is getting product out as you use it up. I didn’t love the packaging but it’s ok. I got the lightest shade in fair and it was a little dark and yellow. I can work with it but it’s a pretty dark fair. I’m NC15 and very neutral. So if you are lighter or cooler times than me fair won’t work. I set it with a powder/bake under the eyes and it lasts all day for me. It’s fairly skin like and looks pretty good. I would have kept it and used except that it breaks me out. My entire forehead broke out. Then my cheeks started too. So I returned it for that. Otherwise it’s an ok foundation. Urban Decay naked skin foundation is very similar in finish and coverage but has a better shade match and doesn’t break me out. So I’ll keep using that instead.

   I’ve been very pleased with almost all the products I’ve tried from Wander Beauty, and when I saw they’d come out with a liquid foundation (my preferred form), I sprung for it. I finally got around to using it (I work from home and don’t wear makeup as much these days) and was very pleased. They’ve expanded their color selection a bit, and I chose Light, which is what I wear in the stick and powder foundations. It looks very peach in the tube, but on my NW 15-20 skin, it looks neutral, but not so neutral that it makes my skin look flat. The tube is a great idea–it’s sturdy and would be great for travel–and you can see how much is left as you use it (nice feature). Inside the cap is a wand with a huge doefoot applicator similar to the one in Shape Tape–with a sort of hole in the bottom. Caution: the first few times you use it, pull the wand out slowly or foundation will splatter from the doefoot–not far, but far enough that it could be disastrous. (I find the choice of placing a wand/doefoot in a tube of foundation odd, but whatever–it works fine for me.) That imperfection aside, this is a lovely foundation for aging or dry skin looking for medium-to-full coverage. I dotted the foundation over my face with the doefoot and blended it with fingers and an old-school wedge sponge in a few spots (around the nose and over marionette lines). Wow. The finish is satin, not too dewy, but smooth and glowy and healthy and natural-looking. It’s buildable, which is very handy for covering my melasma (and that’s when the doefoot comes in handy–I can easily target the spots). I was able to apply gel blush over it without disturbing the finish, and then dusted it with HG Veil to finish. The effect was quite impressive, especially given the discoloration on my face (which still needed a bit of concealer to cover, but not nearly as much as I usually have to use). It wore well, but being moisturizing and a satin finish, I think it would be prone to transferring unless you really powdered it down. It removed easily, and my skin felt really good–supple and moisturized–after taking it off. Overall, it’s a solid foundation for me, and I will repurchase. However, if you don’t have dry skin, want light coverage, would be creeped out or annoyed by the doefoot applicator, and would mind the possibility of foundation splattering a bit if you pull the wand out too quickly, you’d probably be unhappy with it. Otherwise, it’s quite outstanding. I’m impressed that a small company like Wander continues to turn out such great foundations without scent and with skin-friendly ingredients, and that I’ve been so pleased with each one.

   I’ve tried a few products from Wander Beauty and usually like them. When I saw that they had released a new foundation I thought I would give it a try. Wander Beauty tries to make their products very user friendly for people that lead busy lives. The Wander Beauty Nude Illusion Liquid Foundation features a doe foot applicator that you can use to dot the foundation all over your face and then use your fingers, a sponge, or a brush to blend the foundation. I really like that this foundation is fragrance free and contains a nice variety of beneficial ingredients. I found the coverage to be full, this covers imperfections very well. This foundation is definitely geared towards those with dry skin because it is very hydrating. I recommend setting this with a powder or applying a mattifying primer because toward the end of the day this can look a little oily otherwise. The only thing that I found to be a little disappointing is the color selection is pretty limited. My review can be seen here: M
