I’m in my early 60’s and have dry sensitive skin. I was looking for a fairly sheer foundation with a luminous finish. This was NOT it. The coverage is medium at best (getting the right amount of product with the dropper is problematic, I either got almost no product or WAY too much) and it was a very dry, matte finish that actually made my skin look older. The light shade was perfect but if you have dry skin I’d avoid this product.

First: I bought this at TJ MAXX. So I definitely did not pay full price for it.
(BY the way — if you aren’t looking at TJ Maxx for make-up, you should. Trust me. You can find high end makeup that is STILL on sale at Sephora for drugstore prices.)
I like it enough to go back and buy a second one.
I like it enough to use it even though it has silicone.
I can put it on without really LOOKING. I like the sheerness. It makes my skin look healthy and evens things out in a very discreet way. I also like that it has SPF 30 so if I am in a big rush, I can skip my sunblock, especially if I am going to the gym in the afternoon and I just want something to make me look reasonably polished until then.
here’s the big thing – when I get home, and take out my contacts and can really see my face close up, it’s not creased, sitting in my pores, or doing anything unsightly. To me, that’s a big win.
The pump clogs so it will squirt everywhere. I have a little travel container that I decanted it into. I do this with most products so that I can run out the door and yes, I am one of those women who sometimes finishes their makeup on the subway. If I had to drive to work I don’t even know what I would do with myself — on so many levels.

This didn’t work for me. I hated it in pretty much every way you can hate a product. I had the lightest shade and it was way too dark (why do so many lines hate pale and dark skinned people? We exist and would like color matches too.) and not to be dramatic but the finish looked repulsive on my skin… Very patchy, obvious, ugly and oddly dry. I found it very heavy and unblendable but somehow also uselessly sheer. It was just nasty looking on me. I have very well-behaved and problem-free combo (normal/oily) skin so even when I don’t particularly like a foundation they don’t ever make my skin look as ugly as this did. I returned it. It was so bad I doubt I’d ever try Perricone MD products again. Maybe this would work for very oily skin… I don’t know. Hugely disappointing for me.

Despite the price this foundation has become one of my absolute favourites and is the only one I’d ever wear alone, with no other makeup on my face at all.
The main things that I noticed using it for the first time are that it is film forming (sort of like MAC face and body, but stronger), and that it really glides over and fills in my deep ice pick and pitted scars on my top lip, which means it will definitely cover any fine lines. And I mean, it REALLY erases them and makes my lip line look smooth and perfect – I’ve never had a primer or foundation that could do this before.
When it’s on, it looks like I’m wearing nothing and just have great skin. Sometimes I even think “hang on, has it come off and my skin is just way better than I thought it was today?”
Despite having combination skin, I find it doesn’t break up around the more oily parts of my face like the nostril and forehead areas which many foundations tend to do on me. It also feels really light, and I often forget I’m wearing it.
For people who are really oily, I wouldn’t recommend it – although it will stay in place on you it doesn’t protect from shine, and I find that in summer my skin gets really, really shiny with it on and I have to powder a lot. In winter though it’s perfect.
The only negative thing of note is that it does start to look clumpy in the bottle sooner than you’d expect, but this doesn’t mean it’s spoiled. It still goes on and looks fine, it just looks not as great in the bottle and you will need to shake it. I haven’t tried storing it in the fridge but maybe this will help, as it does with other film-forming foundations. I took one lippy off for this but personally it isn’t an issue for me.
So TLDR: this foundation is sheer, so it will leave some of your natural skin to shine through and won’t create a monochrome mask over your face. It’s one of those great foundations that you can wear on a bare face and not feel like you need to balance it out with mascara / lip colour / cheek colour after applying. At the same time, it covers mild to moderate imperfections and redness well and smooths over fine lines and scars. If you want to look like you’re wearing nothing on your face at all I highly recommend this. It does live up to its name.

I thought this was going to be a good product for my mature skin; but it was all clumpy in the bottle, and felt heavy and greasy on my face. It made my pores look massive and did not do anything to help my wrinkles. At $60 a bottle (even though I bought with a coupon) this is way too much money to do nothing for skin!

It caused severe allergy in my face. And I have read several cases like mine. Watch out. There is an article on internet that advices against use of nanoparticles and perricone products.
I loved the cosmetic results of the product BUT it is unsafe and can cause severe damage. Be aware.

I took a real chance buying this foundation.. I usually stick with tinted Moisturizer or BB Creams but I read so many good things about this and I did but and fall in love with the No Highlighter Highlighter. I was a little skeptical at first when I got it because it comes in one universal shade and I’m very fair. I had no reasin to worry. I just pumped out a small amount and mixed in some moisturizer until I had a color match. I was so in love with the finished look of this foundation that I just stared in the mirror for a good 5min compeletely transfixed. My complexion was completely flawless looking. I looked more like a 20yrs old than a 40yr old and even though it’s pricey.. It is now my number one foundation. And luckily, the product will last me a lot longer since I have to add moisturizer. Seriously, this stuff is better than a2nd skin!

I wanted to Love this really bad but I don’t. It looks so pretty when you first put it on, dewy and light coverage. Very skin like! My favorite but after two hours it is so patchy ! I tried with different primers, no primer, and different moisturizers both silicone and non silicone. It doesn’t break me out though which is great but I need my makeup to at least last through lunch time when I can touch up! I looked so unprofessional and like I had no makeup on after only two hours!

Edit, 1/4/19. As much as I love this, I had to drop my rating. The color is too dark for my light-medium skin in the winter. And I have had packaging issues with the last two bottles. The dropper stops working, and at $60 a bottle, I really doing want to tip the bottle upside down to get at my foundation. I have returned to Chanel Matte Lumiere Velvet.
There was a time when I could slap anything on my face, and it looked good…since hitting my mid 50s, that all changed. I have tried so many foundations…most I ended up not buying or returning. Older skin doesn’t seem to like foundation…it settles into pores and wrinkles, making us look older than we are…but we also need it to impart some glow, even out skin tone and look polished.
I have fallen in love with this foundation…my stash includes Lancome Teinte Idole, Chanel Matte Velvet, Bare Minerals Bare Pro powder, Dr. Jart Dis-a-Pore, but 9 times out of 10, I reach for this.
It comes in a very lovely glass bottle with a perfect dropper. I find it travels pretty well, despite the glass, but the bottle shape tucks into my makeup bag nicely.
I use a drop for the center of my face, and a drop for each cheek. The best way for me to apply it is to rub it in with my fingers, and then apply more for spots that need more coverage by patting a drop into my skin. This is a flawless way to build more coverage. I also pat it into my indented acne scars, and it really helps cover them.
When first applied, it feels greasy…before I put on the rest of my makeup, I let it set for about 10 minutes. The foundation than imparts a lovely finish…almost suede like…polished without looking heavy…although only one color, it is the best match of any foundation I’ve used (I am a NC25-30)…this is the finish I was looking for with Chanel Matte Velvet, but never really achieved. The rest of my makeup applies beautifully, seamlessly. I also use the No Makeup Blush, which I love….and the No Makeup Eyeshadow…a little Chanel bronzer…lots of mascara and I’m set!
My makeup literally lasts all day…my oily skin just doesn’t eat this foundation up like it does with other foundations…it stays put, and keeps you semi matte for as long as you have it on….I am blown away by the staying power and my skin can breath!
The icing on the cake is the serum part…I feel this foundation has lifted me skin, shrunk my pores and evened out my complexion…all that DMAE, Alpha Lipoic Acid and neuropeptides have really improved my complexion.
Its my little miracle in a bottle…I can not be without this!

This is way too watery and covers nothing. And, when you push down on the pump, it squirts everywhere. I’d ruined my bedding, curtains, and clothes just from pushing down on the pump. Definitely not worth the price.
