This is such a good buy. I got this really cheap and now I wonder if this is being discontinued. I have the shade “Creamy Cafe”. Its a mauvey brownish pink. It seems to be a liquid version of MAC “Creme in my Coffee”. I love it. The colour is opaque and suits my skin tone well. This is a no fuss or frills lipstick. You don’t need a mirror or a lip liner to apply to apply this. The product is a bit heavy on the lips but not uncomfortable. The staying power is pretty decent too. I’d say about 4-5 hours. Also when the product begins to wear, its not drying or flaky. It does not create any weird lines or accumulate on some areas of the lips like some other liquid lipsticks.
I’m not a fan of the click up pen. I think there is very little product in pen. I twisted this for a while before product came out. The taste and smell is non offense unlike some of Milani’s previous lip products. I’m sort of excited to look for more shades now. Awesome deal!

Hello my freaky darlings!
I love retro makeup looks so I’m always on the hunt for the perfect red lip. Unfortunately I have very sensitive lips so most lipsticks dry them badly. So today I picked up Milani Power Lip. I was a little worried to start with because I haven’t found Milani products to be very good in the past. I’ll break this review up into a few sections.
Packaging
The container feels very cheap and, like many of you, I had problems controlling the product coming out of the click tube.
Product
The stain itself comes out as a gel and felt very thick on my lips. I also had difficulty getting an even coverage. Once I got the product on to my liking I felt like my lips kept sticking together while I talked. This is probably because of the amount of product I needed to get a really vibrant pigmentation. After about 30 minutes I couldn’t handle it any longer and blotted my lips to try to remove the excess product. Pretty much ALL of the product came off and left my lips a magenta/dark pink shade.
Good
With my sensitive lips I expected a stain to be super drying. And while I didn’t like the feel of this product it didn’t dry my lips at all.
Bad
The coverage was spotty and the application was difficult to use. The stain did not give me the true red I was looking for.
Bottom Line
This might be a good product if you are looking for a more sheer color or something closer to your normal lip tone but for me, I won’t be buying it again.

I just picked up Macaroon and Pink Lemonade at CVS and they are 50% off. Pink Lemonade is a gorgeous bright pinky red that I will be using a lot this summer. Macaroon was a yellow based mid tone pink on me and just didn’t have the wow factor….I would’ve liked it a bit brighter.
Seems a little dry to me but I’ve had pink lemonade on for 4 hours now and it’s still going strong so that is a plus.
Yes the click pen sucks but I’ve never been a fan of them in general due to how messy they are but if you can pick one up to try out, I’d recommend it :D.

I have the color “Red Control”, and when it goes on it goes on RED and I think that’s lovely. My only problem with it is that when I twist the product out I’m constantly wasting it. I would have enough to go on my lips, but there’ll be extra that I wipe off on a tissue.
It’s not a bad product though!

I bought this in the shade Macaroon after seeing Danna Ann on youtube talk about it. I love, love, love this shade!! It brightens up my face and makes me look younger (I am in my early 40’s) without making me look clownish or garish, as some bright shades do. I think this shade would flatter many skin tones. I am pretty pale and this just makes me look ‘alive’. Great, great color.
However, the application can be messy. You have to squeeze the product up out of the tube, and it is pretty difficult to control how much come out of the tube. There have been many times too much comes out and gets wasted. Also can be a little tricky to build up and apply (obviously). But that said, I do like the shade well enough to overlook these flaws and annoyances.
It feels okay on the lips. There is a light scent, I do not find the scent offensive. Sort of like bubblegum scent, maybe? It wears decently, does not turn any funky color, and leaves a nice stain on the lips. Wears well even through eating a small meal or snack or drinking coffee of beverage.
But I had to take one lippie off for the poor/messy application. If this was like a typical gloss with a wand, this would be five stars, for sure!! I would still re-purchase, though, as I really do like the shade and once applied it wears very well. Also a bit pricy for the amount of product, esp being a d/s product. If you want to check these out definitely wait for a sale.

I love this! I have Red Control. It takes a little while for the color to “come up”. it goes on nice and thick. be sure not to get it on your teeth!

These are dope. I have 2: Creamy Cafe and Raspberry Tart. Creamy Cafe is a browny rose, which is a shade I’ve been gravitating to lately. Raspberry Tart is a lighter leaning berry that gives more of a flushed look than a dramatic dark lip. The packaging is a cheap-ie plastic tube the same color as the product lurking inside, which is a godsend if you have multiples. However that’s the only good thing about the packaging, as I’m sure you’ve noted if you’ve read any of the other reviews. You know how when you buy a twist-up clicky kind of lip gloss the first use is always a crapshoot in regards to how much product leaks out of the brush tip? Yeah, not only does this happen – to the EXTREME – with this lippie on the first try, but EVERY time you apply (in my experience). The brush doesn’t mellow out either, it stays hard, plasticky, and pointy. I always end up using my fingers to apply.
Anyway, the actual product is amazing. It’s a gloss/stain: applies like an opaque liquid lipstick, then settles into a nice stain. The shine dissipates after about an hour or so, but the shade is truly long-lasting and an *extremely* comfy kind of long-lasting. The shade will change on you a bit, Creamy Cafe gets a little pinker on me and Rasbperry Tart deepens slightly into a nice berry, but they still look good so…shrug. It’s also, oddly enough, slightly plumping. Lends a nice bee-stung look to lips, and stays rather satiny (if not shiny) if you don’t top off with gloss. Doesn’t settle into lines – in fact, it makes your whole lip situation look very smooth and even, which probably accounts for the plumping effect.
I’m definitely going to hit up the other colors (got my eye on you, Cabaret Blend), and am only taking off a lippie for the packaging because I end up wasting a ton of product each time I use it. HIghly recommend!

Normally love Milani, but not a fan of the formulation of this one. Not as creamy as i would have liked. It does stay all day though. I like the glosses instead and the lip intense liquid lipsticks.

This lippie is pretty terrific. They’re marketed as a lip gloss-lip stain hybrid, but I think of them more as staining liquid lipsticks. The product is incredibly pigmented, delivering opaque coverage with very little product and apply very smoothly and evenly. The finish is very creamy with a moderate amount of shine. Milani calls these moisturizing, and they do feel that way initially. The product is very soft and emollient feeling, but if you have a problem with chronically dry lips you will probably need to add a gloss or lip balm to them as the day goes on. My lips are pretty tough and don’t require regular applications of lip balm, so I didn’t find these drying and didn’t feel the need to add gloss after the glossy sheen wore off. They do start to feel a little tacky after an hour or two, but nothing too bad. There’s no real smell or taste to them either which is nice.
The wear for this product is impressive. On average, the color lasts on me about 5-6 hours even with drinking and light snacking, but can last longer (7-8 hours) when I’m not eating and only drinking things through a straw. Eating a full meal will obviously compromise the wear time, but this lip color holds up better than most lipsticks or glosses through a meal. I’ve brushed my teeth and gone to bed with it on and still been able to see a faint stain the next morning. The shine wears off after 60-90 minutes, before fading to a satin finish for the next 3-4 hours. After that you have a nice stain which fades pretty evenly.
The product is packaged in a click pen with a brush tip, which has its draw backs. Like with all click pen style products, the pen can dispense way more product than you need if you’re not careful, especially the first time you use it. Turn the top slowly and stop every 2-3 clicks to see how much (if any) flows out to minimize mess. The brush head is nice and firm, and gives you a lot of application control. You will need to break it up a bit before use though. It’s extremely stiff when you first open it up, but rubbing the brush between you thumb and forefinger will fix that.
This product comes in 8 shades, though I’ve noticed that many drugstores don’t carry the full line. I’ve only seen 4-5 shades carried at the Walgreens stores in my area but the better stocked CVS stores had all 8. I own this product in the shades Raspberry Tart (a medium berry pink), Macaroon (a mid-tone rose), Red Control (classic red) and Cabernet Blend (a deep raspberry) and love all 4 shades. All 4 have a cream finish without any shimmer or frost to them. The colors are very even and don’t settle into the grooves of my lips at all. From what I’ve seen from swatches online, all of the colors in this line have the same finish and apply just as nicely with the exception of Strawberry Sugar, which appears to be the problem child of the line. Unless super pale baby pinks are your thing, I’d skip that color all together.
All in all, this is one of the best products from Milani that I’ve ever tried. The only negative thing I have to say about them is that the tubes are kinda small (.09 oz), but with as little product as I need to get full coverage and as infrequently as I need to reapply, I still think they’re a good value.

this is not what I would call a stain. it’s a long lasting liquid lipstick, and it’s opaque. the Red Lake dye in it will leave a little bit of lasting pinkness when it wears off, but it’s a very bright blue based pink, which looks too garish on me. (it is the same kind of color that they use in those “mood” lipsticks.)
it also had a gross textrue and smelled bad. I would not recommend.
