I love illamasqua lipsticks as they have amazing staying power. They are dry which reminds me of using a lipliner all over the lip and I live this. I don’t really get dry lips so these never set in lines or anything and the colour is unique and beautiful

The worst lipstick I have ever owned. It’s so dry it’s is the equivalent of dragging a stick of chalks across the lip. I don’t understand how illamasqua could, within could conscience, release such a terrible product. It is just wearable if you slap your lips in balm and pat the lipstick on, and even then it’s patchy, you also lose about 50% of the colour which is so pretty and the reason i bought it in the first place.
Love their blushes but would never purchase any lipstick from them again.

Over is the brighter sister of Illamasqua’s “Brink”, which is a much more muted peach/pink/coral. This is closer to MAC’s Vegas Volt in terms of brightness than Brink is. This shade is matte and opaque in coverage which is good for pigmented lips. It is very flattering on my warm/tan skin but like Brink (which I also own), it is very drying. Also like Brink, I don’t swipe this on full bore but instead just dab it on or use a lip brush. I always wear a balm underneath and for added moisture and dimension, I top it off with clear gloss. I have managed to avoid the lipstick settling in lip lines when doing it this way. Lasting power is excellent: 6-7 hrs and even after eating there is still some pigment left. Not too fond of the packaging which is bulky but really this is a small inconvenience for the flattering shade it provides me.

This is a bright, bright pink. A mix between a baby pink and a neutral coral. If you love brights this is for you. The staying power on this is amazing, you can really trust it to stay on thru eating. It’s semi-matte.. Only thing I could liken it to is Nars Niagara maybe. Great lippie, unique pink for sure.

Over is very flattering on my NC20 skin. It’s a bright creamy light coral. Nothing neutral or muddy about it. it’s darker/brighter than Obey. I don’t agree its the same as Brink though as i have both and Brink is more muted (like Over’s more neutral cousin). Over really brightens up my face and looks fantastic mixed with MAC’s Impassioned lipstick. Over is extremely pigmented and has no shimmer or glitter, in fact it’s quite matte. I find illamasquas lipsticks extremely drying so I have to wear a lipbalm underneath. This has the added benefit of not letting the lippie sink into every line.

I love Illamasqua lipsticks and now have 4 of them. Over is almost exactly the same as Brink, but a little darker. If you have Brink, you don’t need this, or vice-versa. I included a pic above of it on my lips with NYX candy shop gloss over it. It is a bright coral. I just love it because the color’s so unique. I don’t have anything else like it. These lipsticks are very chalky and pigmented and need a gloss over them to look good. But it is worth it to me since the lasting power of the lipstick is so good. I would not repurchase since it’s similar to Brink.
