   I’d had this blush for some time before I got around to using it. I’m glad I finally did. This is a very nice product for a number of reasons. It comes packaged in a compact, squat tube (4 in. long x 1 in. diameter) that’s very well made. A cap pulls off one end to reveal the blush, which twists up; under the cap on the opposite end is a surprisingly good quality blending brush. Both caps click securely into place so there’s no worries about it opening in your bag. I have Bare Back, which is described as a “nude pink.” Well, it depends on how much you apply. The pigmentation is medium-intense, so a light application yields a muted nude pink shade; a heavier hand gives a lovely, still slightly muted, cool-to-neutral light pink (pinker than in the swatches above) that I think would flatter many skin tones. The finish is almost cream-to powder, yet it’s easy to apply and there’s no rush to blend. It is matte, but not flat–a tiny amount of very fine shimmer can be seen in direct sunlight (if you look for it)–which makes it even more attractive on the skin. Nudestix advises you to “draw” it on the skin. What works best for me is to roll up the blush a bit and tap it directly onto the skin, covering lightly the area where you want to blush. Given the diameter of the blush (almost that of the component), this is accomplishes very quickly. Then I tap lightly with a finger to diffuse the color a bit. It couldn’t be easier or faster to use. The wear time is very good–I was in and out of 100 degree temps today for several hours, and it looked as good when I removed it as when I put it on. In the past, I’d tried Nudestix cream crayons for lip and cheek (nice for lips, but a bit difficult to blend on cheeks), and the gel and matte pencils for lip and cheek (impossible to blend on cheeks over foundation and very drying on lips). They hit the jackpot with this one. If you’re looking to streamline your makeup routine (it can also be used on lips and eyes, although I didn’t and won’t use it for either) and there’s a shade that will work for you (there are only four), I highly recommend it. I also think that oily skins would like this due to the nearly c-to-p finish and longevity of wear, plus it’s easy to carry along for touchups. $32 seems pricey for .25 oz, of blush, but this will last a long, long time. I would absolutely repurchase this little gem, and have already purchased the new Nudies Bloom Color in Cherry Blossom (a creamier, more dewy formula).
