I learned about Julie Hewett’s Noir Lipstick Collection when I met her on the Boston film set of “The Women”. The scene was a high end fashion show so we used complimentary red shades on the models. Femme Noir has blue based undertones which makes it especially attractive on fair skinned women. It has permanently earned a place in my professional makeup artist Boston kit.

The color is really really nice, a pretty shade of red that you can either wear at the office or at night when you go out. It’s a little drying on the lips, but not that much, which is good. But if you don’t wear a lip liner it bleeds –a lot. If you drink or eat it will also fade a little on the center of the lips — it’s not super ugly, but you’ll probably need to reapply. Overall it’s a good lipstick, but not an amazing one.

I finally had the money to buy a lipstick from this line.. I have been dying to buy it since I saw the review Lisa Freemont did on YouTube.. OMG.. love it.. I bought Femme Noir, and Rouge Noir… they are such beautiful colors.
Femme Noir is a perfect office shade with blue undertones and a creamy texture..
Rouge Noir is perfect for going out on the town.. a bright true red that makes your lips pop!
I am in love with these lipsticks and am not going to get a couple of the sheer lippies and mabey a darker shade as well.

PERFECT movie star red ! This reminds me of my other HG Russian Red. I love all of the noir lipsticks and give them all 5 lippies ! High quality,beautiful shades that make you look like a movie star.
