Super moisturizing. I saw this at the counter at check out and picked it up. Glad I did. Prior to using this, my lips were painfully sunburned and highly chapped. Within two days, my lips were back to looking luscious. The product didn’t leave any residue, the texture was very smooth and buttery.

This is a great balm. It’s a medium thickness that soaks in easily and has a lighter scent than the other Lush balms. It does have a tendency to get grainy or even chunky when it’s cold, but when you warm the tin up between your hands for a few minutes it goes back to being smooth. I don’t mind the extra effort, as this is one of my favorite light but still moisturizing balms. Tins can be a little cumbersome for me in a bag or pocket but these are easy to carry around–I usually leave one in my backpack year-round so I can use it whenever I need it between classes.

This is an update on my previous review from 2012. Lush seems to have reformulated this balm, which, in my opinion, was a good decision on their part. I feel the product has greatly improved over the past few years.
The formula for the None Of Your Beeswax balm used to be a bit chunky and gritty, and never really settled into my lips. Rather, it just sat on top and acted as a barrier, which is helpful on a cold New England day, but if you’re in need of deep moisture, this balm wasn’t going to live up to your needs. Now, however, the formula is smoother, far less gritty, and sinks in beautifully without feeling heavy, greasy, or waxy. It does require semi-frequent reapplication, but unlike some vegan balms whose bases may have castor oil (a very polarizing ingredient), it won’t cause additional dryness in the long run once removed. The moisturizing benefits of this new formula definitely stick around much longer than before.
The tin is a tad inconvenient, but no more or less hygienic than stick balms. Only problem is the greasy finger after the fact. But I make the most of this by rubbing the remaining balm on my cuticles, which is like a little treat for my perpetually dry nails. So with that, no product goes to waste. Also, the tin is small enough to fit in my very small purse with ease, so I can dig that. Also, you get a whopping 10g of product, which is fantastic since the average stick balm seems to top out around the 5g mark. Taking the amount you get into consideration, I’d say the $7 price point is kind of a bargain. Good, inexpensive vegan balms that can be found in a brick and mortar shop are hard to come by (seeing as sub-par lip treatments like Karite Lips can set your back $9), so I really can’t complain about the price.
It’s not THE most moisturizing balm on the planet, but it is a nice treat for the lips on these harsh Winter days. Paired with a lip scrub, and you’ve kind of got a winning combo. I’m definitely glad they reformulated this balm, and will be repurchasing.

I really like this lip balm. It’s great at moisturizing and feels really nice and light on. It also smells great and doesn’t taste bad like some lip product tend to. The reason I have this only three lippies is because I’m pretty sure I got a bad batch and I’m also not a fan of the tin. The balm I got has really chunky grainy parts which are not pleasant and has one spot where it is very smooth. The tin also gets really greasy and hard to open. All thought the price is a bit high I would repurchase hoping to get a better batch.

This is a nice lip balm/lip moisturizer. It’s light and not thick or waxy feeling, can be worn easily under lipstick. I like to apply it, wait a minute or two and then apply my lipstick. The scent is okay, I have also found that I can use this to touch up a dry flaky spot on my face if I am out and don’t have anything else with me. I just rub a bit between my fingers and pat it onto the area and it works like a charm. I do find it a bit expensive for the small tin you get. Would repurchase.

Lemon-vanilla lipbalm in a cute travel friendly container for a steal how can I resist?? I almost wasn’t gonna get this coz I own 4 other LUSH lipbalms but each one is unique & I love them! The texture of this is the most moisturizing of all of the LUSH lipbalms/stains I own but I got it home & it was hot outside yes but it was in an AC car for the ride home & yet melting a bit when I went to apply it. This will be gr8 for winter & my lips are never bare so I do have dry lips if I don’t constantly have something on them & this is a gr8 treat doesn’t break the bank & is vegan. Love!!!

I wrote a review on this lip balm in 2009, this review now is an updated version for 2014. Because as you will see in my old review, I really didn’t like this in 2009, I didn’t purchase it again until now. The reason I purchased this was because I ran out of my beloved (really beloved) Chocolate Whip, and my lips were really chapped recently because I keep forgetting to put my other lip balms on it, there were these dead skin sticking out on them. I thought Chocolate Whip would be a little too hard on my lips, as it is a lot thicker, I gave None of Your Beeswax another chance when I went to Lush, as I remember it was a thin formula. They definitely changed the formula on these, they are now very liquid-y, and no longer grainy and gritty!! They now have a very smooth formula. There is a harder layer on top of the balm, as Lush’s balm’s first layer is usually dried out a little. When I dug my finger in, I was very surprising that the product underneath is VERY soft, and melty. I almost have a feeling that once I use up the entire top layer, the balm underneath might slide around in the tin and make a mess, that’s how soft they felt. We’ll have to see if that happens. The balm still smells like the amazing lemon + vanilla + shea combination I remembered from years ago, and doesn’t taste weird. Due to the thin consistency, it is easier to work with on the lips when your lips are extremely chapped. It gives a nice shine to the lips, and doesn’t last as long as thicker balms as expected, but it never dries your lips out! Which is great, since many thinner lip balms actually dry lips out in the end. Overall, I love this balm now. I feel like Lush has been constantly improving the textures of their lip balms, which is something I really appreciated, as a lot of companies don’t care for the minor details, and lip balms are not even Lush’s sell points.
Review from 2009
Lush recently decreased the price for all the lipbalms. They are now $6.95. This is new and this is terrible. It is incredibly gritty. It almost feels like lip exfoliator instead of a lip balm. But it smells divine and it moisturizes. It is relatively thin and runny, but it does not dry out your lips. I so wish there is a lipbalm that smells like this, lemon+vanilla, but has the texture of Honey Trap. Overall, I wouldn’t buy this again. And this one is going back to the store.

I really like this lib balm from LUSH.
I tried the Honey Trap one before and I prefer this non-beeswax formula.
The consistency suits me more. It feels like it sinks into your lips better.
This is a great option if you are vegan, as well!
The smell is also pleasant. A nice hint of lemon : )
Although not overpowering.

Much to my surprise, I actually like the None of Your Beeswax lip balm from Lush. It is much smaller than I expected it to be (I ordered it online) and I probably would not have spent the money on it had I realized how small it was. However, I know that I’m getting every last bit of the lip balm out because of the tin packaging.
I really like the packaging, actually, because it’s a little easier to carry around than a tube and it can be easily reused for DIY solid perfumes and lip balms, as well, so I’m very happy with the packaging!
As for the lip balm itself, it is a thick and waxy yellow balm that is distinctly lemon in scent. I like the buttery, waxy consistency because the lip balm stays on for a very long time and truly coats my lips. The flavor isn’t fantastic, but obviously this lip balm isn’t a foodstuff, so there is that haha. I prefer all natural products and have found that Lush doesn’t actually deliver on that front- many of their products contain ingredients that we all-natural buffs tend to avoid- parabens, sulfates, artificial colors, fragrances, flavors, etcetera. This lip balm contains “flavor” as its only really questionable ingredient, and I’m content with that.

I love how it starts rough and melts into a nice butter. after a day of using it I did have a little bit of a plastic-ey feel to my lips, but they were very smooth. I love the scent!
