I’ll get the one bad point out of the way first: You don’t get enough gloss for the price. At 4g, this shouldn’t be $20 USD. At this price point, I expect 5g or more, since that’s typical of other glosses in this price range. But other than the price, this gloss really ticks all the boxes!
I have the shade Hustle and Glow, which is a pretty rose gold with pink glitter. You can definitely layer it over a lip color, but I enjoy it best on its own. It adds just enough of a pinkish hue to my pale lips that really brightens me up, but since the base is mostly clear (with rose gold shimmer), it doesn’t look too opaque (I don’t like opaque glosses on me). It’s just right for me. The glitter is pretty too. It’s not so pronounced that it can’t be worn at the office, but it’s visible enough to look cute. This shade is a bit girlier than I’d normally go for, but I love how it looks! And when the sun hits it, it looks SO gorgeous. I also love applying this to my entire lips, and then dabbing a little of the Pixi Lip Icing in the shade Toffee right in the center to add a little silvery shimmer to the mix, which is a really stunning look!
The formula is lovely. It’s not too sticky, but not watery or thin, so it hangs around for a good bit before it begins to fade, at which point, the glitter hangs on for a little longer. It’s incredibly moisturizing and makes my lips look full and healthy, filling out lip lines and keeping them super soft. I’d also say this is quite buildable. I have swatched other shades in this range and they all seem to be the same in terms of texture, though some are more opaque than others.
Packaging is great. It’s sturdy and fairly no-frills. The flat, plush applicator picks up just the right amount of product so you’re not going back in over and over, but you’re also not dispensing a huge wad of gloss on your lips all at once.
Even though I do find the price to be high, I will still repurchase and explore other shades in this range, since it’s definitely become my go-to gloss.
