After experiencing such amazing results from the Mavala Double-Lash treatment, I was intrigued to try this offering from Kiko which claimed to give a 169% growth of the lashes and a 13% growth of their diameter after just 30 days of continuous use. The instructions were easy enough too – cleanse as usual, then apply a thin layer of the product to eyelashes in the evening before bed. Seemed easy enough, so away I went…
Well, after using this for about 2 weeks (in exactly the way instructed) I did notice one thing. My eyelashes started to fall out!!! At first it was the odd one or two, not enough to make me too worried as I know eyelashes fall out and regrow in the same way hair does. But when two, then three, then four at a time started to fall out, I knew it was more than just the usual regrowth pattern. I also started to notice little bald patches in my lash line, something I had worked hard to repair whilst using the Mavala Double-Lash and not something I was willing to contend with again. As a result I stopped using this and immediately discarded it.
Two weeks later and my eyelashes have just started to get back to normal. I have no idea what it was about this treatment that caused such a reaction – perhaps the ‘innovative’ K2 pro-growth complex – but there is no way I would ever consider recommending this to anyone especially after using the Mavala version. This cost me £7.90 (compared to the £11.00 cost of the Mavala Double-Lash) but in my opinion it’s not worth the money. Avoid like the plague if you want to keep your lashes intact!
