Protective sun veil has a light fragrance and isn’t laced with the dreaded and ubiquitous ‘cones like dimethicone and cyclomethicone which makes it a great choice for ladies who prefer a natural look. I guess it protects your hair with the ingredients they list but nothings makes my naturally curly hair look glossy and sleek like this. I like that it does not have a hold. Its like the perfect hold, not stiff but it does add texture to your hair, perhaps that ‘s why the previous reviewer noticed a hair of hay. Perhaps not the best for really limp and fine hair, but mine is thick (THICK!) and curly and I sometimes blow dry straight with flat iron and this seals out the moisture. Really like it actually. Got on sale at BB&W for a $5 or so, shame I can’t get it again for that much.

Dreadful product. Bought it especailly for my holiday. Made my hair look worse. Sprayed on my hair before stepping out in the sun. With the hot sun and wind,my hair looked like a haystack!!
Instead, I will spread a ordinary SP15 lotion in my hair to protect it from the sun.
