Tried to use this as a setting spray so that my ends wouldn’t be all fuzzed out. Didn’t work. Mad that I wasted money on it.

I honestly don’t understand this product at all! It’s definitely not moisturizing, but instead acts like a type of holding spray to ones curls. plus, it also leaves some type of film/coating on my hair that never goes away until you wash your hair. It also doesn’t act as a refresher spray or curl enhancer spray at all.
Plus, it has a strong smell to it too, that I am not keen of at all. No way will I ever let this stuff touch my hair ever again!

I wanted to love this for my 2b/c curly, thick, waist-length hair. I thought I could use this in place of my regular serum (John Freida Frizz Ease Original). This actually made my hair frizzier, though it was nice and soft. I really liked the scent and the nozzle delivered a nice superfine mist. I tried it with my serum, using it before and/or after. But the results were the same: frizzy. I won’t buy this again.

I have very thick naturally curly hair and this spray works well to moisten my curls without weighing my hair down. I love the fact that it packed with great ingredients.

From the Shea Moisture website..
SheaMoisture’s Coconut & Hibiscus Hold & Shine Moisture Mist for thick, curly hair hydrates and tames frizz while providing a soft hold. Creates brilliant shine and curl control.
I use the other products in this line & love them!!
I have color treated, naturally spiral curly hair (3b with a mix of 3a & 3c’s) and after applying my leave in & other curling products I light spray my hair while is damp and either diffuse or let my hair dry naturally. This product for me gives a nice light hold without making my curls feel dried out! This is also great for refreshing my curls.
*kinda pricey so watch for deals at Walgreens & CVS

I have dense, but fine hair that is very wavy. I spray this product lightly over my hair when it is 80% dry or when completely dry. This does add shine, makes my hair soft, and gives a ton of slip. This product definitely doesn’t give “hold” and flattens my wavy hair some. I don’t mind, because my hair is silky soft. Frizz is significantly reduced, but I still feel the need to put a little bit of gel on my fly aways. The ingredients in this are excellent, and I feel make this product a leave-in conditioner.
As far as mists go, I’ve used miracle-7, ion keratin, and chi keratin. This mist is different b/c of the oil base, and it performs more like a serum. For example, the results I get from this mist (silky, smooth, shiny hair) and the same results I get from using the chi serum and flat ironing my hair. This product is one of the few products that gives me great hair via air drying.
Also, usually when I run my fingers through my hair, a strand or two comes out. (My hair is really damaged and has a lot of breakage) With this, I can run my fingers through my hair, and nothing comes out! I feel like this makes my hair stronger.
For fine or thin hair, this could definitely weigh down and make hair appear greasy.
