I don’t use the darker shadow in this duo, but I do use a lot of the paler color as a base for other eyeshadows. It is a neutral with a hint of pink and is very matte. I like the way this is so matte but the color is the only thing that is a little off. Looking at this in the palette it just looks like a pale flesh tone, but on my eyelids the hint of pink really shows up and doesn’t look quite right. My skin has a slightly yellow tone to it and so this pale shadow does clash a little with my skin tone. I will continue to use it up but won’t repurchase. I have still given this a three as it works brilliantly as a base for cream eyeshadows.

I love these colors! I forgot I had this until recently since it was a present, and I really like how these colors look on my eyes and together. I like the lightness of these colors, and they’re really pretty for daytime. I wouldn’t buy this again because it is expensive, and I don’t want to spend that much money on eyeshadow.

I was at first tempted to just roak this to someone or give it to my mom, but decided to give it a try first (mom won’t care if i’ve used something lol) and wow, i was very surprised. Now i’m VERY inclined to keep this one and give her something else!
I’m nc20-25 asian and I agree that this duo should work better for fair girls. the matte pink side works great as a base all over my lid area. the matte gray, i was afraid it be hard and unpigmented over the pink, but it was surprisingly nice! ti’s a medium completely neutral gray with a smidgen of purple to it. I believe if you’re cooler, it might pull more purple than if you’re warmer. the gray went well over the pink (which on my lid looks a bit like a warm cream).
i do admit that it wasn’t the easiest to blend, but the gray is so fine/neutral/soft that there wasn’t much of a hard edge for me anyway.
this is a FANTASTIC duo for asian monolids of my shade coloring, and who usually find themselves just using two colors of e/s anyway (a light and a dark shade to define). the pink works great as a brow bone highlighter as well.
i’m particularly impressed and happy with my look today because with just these two shades, i was able to create a very polished yet awake look, WITHOUT looking like i have makeup on. the gray and pink works so well and softly together that i just honestly look slightly defined and polished. VERY appropriate for work.
taking 1 lippie off for the blendability issue (again it was very small issue for me, but for those who have larger lids or an actual crease, it might not work as well?), and how light it is (not a versatile duo. you really can’t do more than this defined and polished office look out of it).
otherwise, i really love it!

Received this in a gwp and really lucked out because I like the colors. This duo is very subtle for highlighting/contouring the eyes rather than a dramatic look. I like that this does not contain what I call “disco glitter” and is a nice matte look for us older ladies. Will probably repurchase when this runs out.

Lately I’ve been using Everyday Minerals’ eyeshadows, but because I’m used to going to the gym in the mornings before work, I find the loose eyeshadow formula too messy to use while I’m in a hurry to get to work. I ordered Pink Slate from Strawberrynet, because it was on sale, and the shades seemed quite pleasant. Just like all the other Colour Surge eyeshadows I’ve tried, this one has an exceptionally good and smooth formula as well as great staying power. I also like it that it doesn’t contain any paraben-preservatives. I especially like the duo’s brown shade: it’s the perfect light chocolate brown shade for my pale cool complexion. The pink, however, is quite useless, but I use it with the brown shade nonetheless. I still can’t get too excited about the duo, because it’s very plain… won’t be buying again.

I like this duo. I am happy Clinique came out with some matte pairings. The duo costs 17.50 Us dollars or 14 UK pounds. More expensive in europe. There is a taupe shade and a nude beige pink shade. It is a very nude duo. It blends well and it has a nice enough pigment for fair skin. But I highly doubt that people with darker skintones would like this as it might not show up. It does not have any shimmer so it just makes one look polished. It is really nothing exiting but very usefull basics. It is hard to go wrong with this. Clinique shadows also work really well when you moisten the brush and line with it. This duo is highly recommended if you have fair skin and if you want something thats easy to pull off and you dont need too much time for blending. I would repurchase.
