My most used brown from MAC till now. Has subtle purple tone blends beautifully lasting power is excellent etc. Works with many colours. Warm NC40ish. edit – this is in MAC’s ‘goodbye’ section. Hope they don’t ruin a good thing with reformulation possibly.

It is my absolute HG eyeshadow for my every day smokey eyes. It is a perfect brown color which is very versatile, and I pair it with almost every single eyeshadow in my collection. I use it as a base on my crease and blend it out. And I really like that you can build it up as you want. I got my second Cordouroy today, and believe me or not but I ran out of my first one after more than 2 years of almost every day use!!! By the way, I mostly combine it with Mac’s Shadowy lady, and I am good to go!!! Love, love Cordouroy, and I will repurchase it over and over!!!

This is my eyebrow filler. I have tried other bends and they do not compare in both color and pigment. I can fill my brows early in the morning and look gorgeous and natural all day. LOVE

Cordouroy is definitely underrated. I find it a perfect all-purpose brown that works with nearly every neutral eye look. I use it mainly in the crease but also in the outer v, and as a liner applied top and bottom.
I’ve spent years trying to find the perfect safe natural darker brown to compliment my hazel eyes, strawberry blonde hair and neutral fair skin. Cordouroy is it, I will definitely buy this again.

I’m surprised that more people aren’t raving about this color! It’s such a nice medium reddish brown that is so versatile and works wonderfully blended into the crease or even as a liner on the bottom lashes.

I bought this at the Mac store in NY about a year ago. I only used it a few times and put it away. A few months ago, I thought I would try it again in the crease with arena as a base shadow. Wow! It really brought out the green in my hazel eyes. A very pretty combinatiion. This eyeshadow stays on forever. I highly recommend it!

I re-discovered this color in my make-up bag. From the suggestion of the sales woman, I bought it to pair up with paradisco and hated them together. So I cast them both aside. I recently grabbed it thinking it was my Blackberry and wow. It looked great with Orb as a base. I’ve found a new combo that I love together.

Haven’t read any reviews on this one as yet and wonder why, its absolutely gorgeous, I bought it after hearing that Britney Spears wears it all the time in her videos. Its a really nice brown colour which can be applied light for daytime and then really dark intense for a great nighttime look. Britneys MA uses it as a liner as well. Its my fave brown eyeshadow from MAC without a doubt.
