So, this may seem like a harsh review, but I honestly couldn’t give it higher. I don’t understand any of the rave about this whole line. I’ve tried so many products after such high reviews. This is my experience:
I live in Australia so I could only buy it online at the time so the price alone was fairly high and then adding the postage price, it was quite expensive. But I was willing to try it because of the reviews. I have 3a-ish hair.
When I received the package I was a little dissapointed with the size, especially because of its price, but I decided to use it that night.
The smell was pretty good. Not my favourite but nice enough. Used it with the shampoo, washed it all out, wrapped my hair and went to sleep.
Woke the next morning and remember thinking “oh, yeah I guess it defined the curls a bit.” figured it just took a couple of tries. Did my research on how other people used it and then tried again later that week and got the same sort of result. Figured I’d just use it up and continued to use it once more. Over those 3 times my hair went from pretty healthy and soft to hay like and drier than I have ever seen it in my life. Everyone, including the hairdresser was shocked at how dry it was, breaking off in her hands.
I already have a dry, sensitive scalp but again, this made it worse than ever, the itchiness insane and embarrassing flakes everywhere.
I stopped using it immediately and have worked to restore my hair and am still in the process of trying to fix my scalp. It’s been over 6 months now and my hair is back to normal, scalp still very dry and flaky.
I won’t be buying this EVER again, since it’s all gone now anyway because it was knocked into its side in the shower and because of its thin consistentency, just flowed right out of the bottle.
Thanks, but no thanks.

I don’t understand this stuff or it’s high reviews. It has the consistency of milk… the pump bottle is infuriating since it’s so thin, that pumping it into your hands means it runs through your fingers. So you have to hold the bottle to your head and pump it directly onto your hair…
Even to use for cowashing, I have to pump like 1/4 of the fricken bottle out onto my head in order to get enough slip to comb my hair through. And I don’t find it moisturizing at all…

I like this better than the shampoo, which I wouldn’t repurchase. It’s a lot runnier than I expected from a conditioner claiming to be highly moisturizing, but it definitely does its job in that department. I will say I use more of this than a thicker/creamier conditioner though, as it’s harder to evenly distribute a thin liquid into hair, compared to a thick cream. Being new to silicone free hair care, I expected the slip to be minimal, but it’s actually pretty good!
Used together with the shampoo, I feel like it’s a bit too much for my hair, despite having very dry and curly hair. But that might be because the shampoo doesn’t clean my hair properly, because when I’ve paired it with a moisturizing SLS shampoo (e.g. Lush’s Godiva bar) I’ve liked the result a lot more.
The scent is divine! Very summer-y. In my review of the shampoo I complained about the scent turning funky when you lather the shampoo into the hair, but the conditioner smells just as great when applied to the hair as it does in the bottle. Bonus points for a bottle with a pump! I’m used to only the super-sized (~1 liter) bottles having pumps, so that was a nice surprise with this one.
+ Cruelty free
+ Silicone free
+ Organic
+ Heavenly scented
+ Provides a pretty good slip
+ Moisturizing
– A little does not go a long way
– Availability and price in Sweden is a problem

it is very moisturizing, its heels my curls to feel clean, shiny and super soft it you have 3c to 4c hair type I highly recommend it. It is kind of pricey for such a small bottle but a little go a long way and its definitely worth every penny. in use it cost $13.99

I don’t love this…but I don’t hate it either. I got this at the same time as their 10-in-1 shampoo, which did not work for me at all. I find their black castor and weightless shampoos are working much better for me.
But as for this, idk. It doesn’t really give a lot of slickness, as others have mentioned. I want to believe it’s actually conditioning instead of just making it feel slippery when I’m in the shower like other conditioners do, but considering that it’s still so hard to comb through, I am losing a bit more hair. I think I lost more with the 10-in-1 shampoo than I did with this conditioner so comparatively, it’s better. But I can’t see myself buying this specific one again.
I heard good things about the Raw Shea conditioner and shampoo, so I’ll give them a try next, but other than that one, I don’t see myself using their conditioners again. I do like the brand in general and use a lot of their stuff, but this is just ‘ok’ for me. I can’t see myself buying it again, though I will finish it.

This is my favorite Shea moisture line by far….I have 2b wavy hair and this really brings out the wave and curl. I love the consistency of the conditioner and shampoo. All in all, it’s definitely worth the price and I highly recommend it to anyone! 🙂

This product smells amazing. However, it did not provide enough moisture for my hair. It contains more water than other conditioners and I need so much of it to feel like my hair is completely saturated. My hair completely drinks up all the conditioner after it’s in there for 2 minutes. It did leave my hair a bit softer which was nice but it also left my hair frizziest. Overall though just definitely not hydrating enough. I’ve got a cross between 3B and 3C hair.

I actually tried this product in a final act of desperation to save my hair. It was totally fried, dry, frizzy, and extremely tangled. I gave this conditioner a try and I have to say I loved it. It left my curly frizzy hair very shiny , feeling alive, moisturized, and looking healthy again. I’m happy. I bought a trial size at Ulta before committing however, I think I’m going full size. My only problem is it did give my hair tons of volume (and i still had some frizz) but my hair feels incredible. I am using Wella’s Enrich shampoo with this conditioner and my hair is loving it. Def give it a try!
