I have a ton of long, naturally straight hair. My hair type is medium texture, oily roots, and dry ends. I was hoping this conditioner would help with summer frizz, and I was admittedly craving a coconut fragrance. Almost immediately after using this in the shower, my upper neck started itching. I tried to wave it off, but then some minutes later I had two large, red welts on my shoulder. I ended up rewashing my hair and body to get any residue of this off to avoid more skin irritation. (I’ll admit I do have very sensitive skin.) This also dried my hair, which I could tell after rinsing it out. I had to add on extra Pantene conditioner to get my hair back to normal during the second wash. I’m glad this works for others, but it was a fail for me.

Beautiful, beautiful conditioner. I picked this up in exchange for Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner I had purchased (it sucked, but that’s another review for another time). I recently had bronchitis and had been too sick to wash my hair – since I have waist length, thick, kinky-curly hair I typically wash my hair 1-2 times a week. I hadn’t washed my hair in almost two weeks, so I was definitely expecting ridiculous amount of tangles, knots, and snarls.
Honey child…after rinsing/repeating with the accompanying shampoo (also good) I applied this conditioner from root to tip and began combing my hair in the shower. This conditioner has soooooo much slip. It feels thick but goes on easy and helped my comb and denman brush move through my hair like buttah. The typical knots, tangles, and shed hairs I would’ve had problems with any other time after neglecting my hair slipped out so easily. The smell is also fantastic and lightly lingers, but fades off quick enough if scents irritate you. After rinsing my hair it still felt soft and moisturized to the touch, which also doesn’t happen too easily for me.
I love Garnier Fructis shampoos and conditioners but recently switched because their addition of protein to the formulas makes it a liiiittleeeeee more drying for my hair. This shampoo/conditioner combo has no protein and it’s great for me. I’d definitely recommend this for someone with very thick, porous hair that can afford some extra moisture; I can imagine this would weigh finer hair types down.
I will definitely rebuy. Holding out hope that they start producing Whole Blends lines in liter sized bottles like their regular Garnier Fructis counterparts!

Very average, nice soothing scent, more cocoa butter than coconut, it was extremely hard to get it out of my hair, it felt like those conditioners that come with home dyes, in regards to the smoothing claims don’t see much difference in the amount of frizz that I have, only pro was that it did make my hair blow dry faster and made my hair shiny.
June 2018: came back to this because I’ve tried so many “Smoothing” conditioners but nothing gets close to this one, this is the only one that works for my dry, frizzy hair, is really rich and thick, like a deep conditioner, it works really well for air drying my hair in the summer plus the scent is delicious.
