I got a sample of this and tried it twice before throwing the rest of it out. It did remove my makeup (however, I do not use waterproof mascara), but leaves a thick, greasy film on your skin that does not rinse away. They recommend taking it off with a cleansing cloth, but (1) I don’t like to manually exfoliate my skin on a daily basis and (2) I’m acne-prone and would have to use a clean cloth daily, which adds up to either a lot of laundry or a lot of cleansing cloths. I ended up triple washing to make sure that all of the balm was off my face. I’d much rather use a cleansing balm that rinses away clean like Heimish or Clinique.

This is a really interesting and effective cleansing balm. It’s a beautiful speckled sheer black that feels light and oily on the skin, with a tiny bit of grittiness. I use cleansing balms for one-step makeup removal and cleansing, removing with a damp cloth. I tried a sample of this and it’s only the high price that keeps me from buying a full size.

A great product for those cleaning balm lovers whose skin is on the normal to dryer side, too bad the price is so absurd.
I was pleasantly surprised by this. It is a black balm that goes on clear as you apply to your face and it melts your makeup off like that *snap*. I like that it doesn’t leave you with that “tight” feeling. The best way to remove it is with a warm damp towel/cloth. Having used Clinique Take the Day Off balm (3.8 oz @ $29.50), I feel like the cult favorite Clinique’s balm removes makeup better but doesn’t leave you feeling quite as soft which I can deal with given the much better price point.
I got a deluxe size of this from Sephora and even though it’s a good balm and a little goes a long way, I could never justify purchasing a full size of this at $110 for only 1.7 oz.

The thermal cleansing mud comes in a glass jar. You can use a spatula or your fingers to scoop out the product and apply to dry skin. This is great to massage into your face to breakdown makeup. Gently rub, rub, rub. You don’t add water, but after you’ve massaged the mud in really well, take a wet flannel or washcloth or mitt to remove the product. I’d use this as a first cleanse or if the only cleanse, I’d probably recommend using an acid toner to follow. I love this product. I could see if you don’t use it correctly or you don’t remove it well with a washcloth that you may not like the feeling after. Omorovicza makes some nice, albeit pricey products.

i find this a very active cleanser so i do not use it every night. I also use it at night only and as a first cleanse. It does feel like it leaves an oily layer on your face but a second cleanse with a gentle cream cleanser solves this problem. It does leave my face smooth and it does a good job but i dont wear makeup so i cannot say how well it removes this. It is very different from a lot of cleansers and if you are not used to or expecting the feel it may seem confusing to find your face seeming to have oil feeling left on it. Another cleanser by Sothys the morning cleanser contains shea butter and feels different but both show nice results. Foam cleansers tend to strip my skin so i only use them if they are free samples and gifts prefering cream cleansers Give this thermal balm a chance to work on your skin I feel in winter it helps not just to clean but add mousture

I received the OMOROVICZA Thermal Cleansing Balm as a free sample. The amount in the sample was generous enough that it should have been able to cleanse my face thoroughly but it did NOT.
My mascara is not waterproof and it did not nearly remove it all. I did warm it with my fingers before putting it on my face and it had a pleasant fragrance. I would never pay this much $$$ for a facial cleanser especially for one that, well, does not cleanse.

What an absurd product. All I can say is I got it on sale.
I’ll start with the good.
Pros:
Nonirritating, non drying, is a mild cream cleanser. Works nicely as a second cleanse (if you double cleanse)
Cons:
-$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
– Packaging. I hate the jar. It’s big, takes up too much room on my vanity, doesn’t fit anywhere convenience in my shower. When I use it in shower, I have to worry about water splashing in jar. I hate dipping my fingers in.
– It’s $$$$$$$$$$ cream cleanser. It doesn’t remove waterproof makeup. It doesn’t remove MAC foundation. It doesn’t dry out skin or leave a film, but it doesn’t do anything magical. For the life of me, I can’t understand WHY this product costs so much $$$$$$$ when there are a gazillion comps out there for less money.
I bought this on sale with a 30% off coupon code, but still, I will never repurchase again.

Never again! I love trying new cleansers as I wear heavy makeup. To me, cleansers are important so I am not afraid to invest in them. This was the worst cleanser I ever bought. Even a cheap product like the micellar cleansing water from Garnier does a better job at removing makeup.
First, it really does not do any justice to waterproof makeup. You need to remove that first with a biphase makeup remover for waterproof eye makeup. Then if you use it without any sort of cleansing prior to it, you will end up with a mess. It does not take away all your make up. I tried several times with various amounts and never worked for me. I always had to use something before or after like a micellar lotion of sorts.
Also, it smells awful and does not help your cleansing ritual at all.
This is a seriously overpriced product and even if it were cheaper, I would still not use it.
The only thing I liked was the packaging which I think is simple and appealing to the eyes.

What the heck is with this stuff? Sorry but if I wanted to clean my face with what felt like Vaseline, I’d just by the $2 Vaseline. I just had a sample and massaged it into my skin and then went to rinse it off to find out… You can’t just rinse it off. Tried scrubbing with water for a bit and then ended up having to blindly reach around for my other face cleanser so I could wash this stuff off. I have no review for what it might do for your skin, but the process of using it is disgusting.

This cleansing balm makes my skin so soft when used together with the cleansing foam. The cleansing foam managed to clean off the film left behind by the balm and still left the skin hydrated. The balm is good for end of the day cleaning, it does a good job at removing traces of make up and nourish the skin at the same time.
Love it!
